UC DAVIS is 4-1.
Won at California.
Beat a non d1. Arkansas State & Sacramento State.
Lost at LMU..
I only heard the last part of Lundy's post-game. Said, nobody is going to feel sorry for us. On to the next game.

I know that when the three teams were announced for this MTE, there was some disappointment at the quality of teams. Looking at how all 3 of other teams are doing this year, they seem alright. UC Davis is probably the best of the bunch so far.

Kenpom has us losing this game 75-68 with a 29% chance of winning. For reference - it predicted us losing to St Thomas 73-70, with a 41% chance of winning. According to the website we turn it over on 30.4% of possessions, which is good for, absolutely last in that category! According to my untrained eye, most of the turnovers aren't forced by the defense. So hopefully many of those mistakes can be cleaned up. I have a feeing this game against Davis is going to be a tough one. Winnable, but it'll be tougher than St Thomas. I'm looking for both Freeman and Johnson to have bigger games, both made it into the lane quite a bit in the last game and missed some close shots which are normally shots they make. Go Panthers!!

According to the website we turn it over on 30.4% of possessions, which is good for, absolutely last in that category! There is a lot of room for improving the ball handling on offense. But let's keep in mind that KenPom has the Panthers playing the 19th strongest D1 schedule among 363 teams. Sagarin's SOS rating is 16th. It will be interesting to watch the expected progress as they get some games under their belt and the schedule eases.

Need someone to setup and be that a true point guard Seems to be a common theme that everyone notices. Maybe we should’ve kept Donovan Newby or Eden Holt. If Bart can’t figure out who can step up and play the 1 consistently, I’m not sure we can.

Ugly so far. Already down 8. Turnovers are still a problem. Two of them have been of the traveling variety.

Averaging a turnover per minute. Brutal.
