I hopped on the horizonleaguefans.freeforums.net/ from time to time and saw this thread. Simple question. Would be interesting as they are looking for last 10 Years. So that is 2012-2022, rules out our Sweet 16 team lol. Below is the "rules" The goal is to put dream teams together from each Horizon League team using players that have played for that team over the last 10 years and then run them through a simulator. Every year I see the same discussions "Imagine if we still had player x still on our team." Here's the chance to see! I'm taking players back from 2012-2013 (it's as far back currently as i can go) to present. I will be putting 10 players on each team. Remember G/F ratio, so you want at least 5/5 or 6/4, maybe 7/3. Also the season they had the best stat line is important as well, IE sometimes Junior year is better than their Senior year.

G - Jordan Johnson (2015-16) G - Steve McWhorter (2014-15) G - DeAndre Gholston (2020-21) F - Matt Tiby (2015-16) F - JJ Panoske (2015-16)
G - Darius Roy (2018-19) G - Jeremiah Bell (2017-18) G - Te'Jon Lucas (2019-20) G/F - Brock Stull (2016-17) F - Bryce Nze (2017-18)
Ultimately I went with Stull's rebounding ability and 3-point shooting over Akeem Springs (2015-16) for the last guard spot.
For the last forward spot, in spite of his inability to hit a free throw, I chose Bryce's efficiency, rebounding ability and defense over Kyle Kelm (2013-14).
Also, I would note at guard I liked Darius Roy and Jeremiah Bell analytically over Jordan Aaron, but it would be really fun to have Jay-O's instant offense off the bench.
Other's considered F - Austin Arians (2013-14 OR 2015-16) F - Kyle Kelm (2013-14) G - Akeem Springs (2015-16) G - Jordan Aaron (2013-14)

So here's my question, TD. I see that JG has chosen a pair of players who scored more points in a season than anyone on my list. When you run the names through a "simulator," what emphasis is placed on winning? Not that JG hasn't compiled a good list, but I'll ride with Kelm and Jay-O (and Tiby) when all the chips are the table and it's time to call.

Completing this exercise made me a little sad, by the way. Let's hope the 2020s are much more fruitful than the 2010s.

I would agree with you, especially regarding Kelm and Akeem. My top 10 Panthers of the 2010s would be a pretty different list, FWIW.

My top 10 Panthers of the 2010s would include:
Kyle Kelm Matt Tiby Jordan Johnson Anthony Hill Tony Meier Akeem Springs Steve McWhorter Austin Arians Kaylon Williams Ryan Allen or Jordan Aaron. I'd lean Ryan Allen.
Special mention: JJ Panoske, Brock Stull, Brett Prahl and Bryce Nze
