Hey guys, I'm really sorry about this. I had the contract a couple days ago but the situation with my brother has gotten worse, so I haven't really been online much at all. His coaching staff number starts at $310,000 for "4.5 assistants" so probably the VC will need to get other income elsewhere. IIRC VC's generally made ~$25k and Chipper bolstered his pay with the very fun basketball coaching class. That staff number had been $300k for Baldwin.
If he finishes 3rd in the Horizon League, he gets a 3% increase to his base pay. Second gets him 4%, first gets him a 5% base pay bump.
The incentives aren't exactly the same as Baldwin's incentives. There is no incentive for winning the conference regular season championship; Baldwin had a $5k bonus. Instead of $5k for winning the conference tournament he gets $10k for every round of the NCAA Tournament in which the team participates, so that bonus is essentially doubled.
If he gets a new job before the end of next April, he owed the university only $700k, the same number before that point in 2024, $525k at that point in 2025, then $350k in 2026 and $175k in 2027. If he's fired 'without cause' before the end of three years, they owe him three years of salary but that number is reduced dollar-for-dollar if he gets a coaching job elsewhere.
I change my mind. My favorite part is the signature, which he clearly did with his finger on a tablet. Everyone's signature looks stupid on a tablet hahaha
