Serious question. Where is the money coming from? Segregated student fees?!

Serious question. Where is the money coming from? Segregated student fees?! That would be a wonderful way to alienate the few students coming to the games...although seg fee increases do have the "stick it to future students" cachet.

I'm not really a fan of Rosiak's Steven Pearl idea (see Will Ryan), but his coverage has been fantastic. Eric Henderson the South Dakota State coach? Why would he come to Milwaukee? Down the road would be a much better job for him in the MVC, MWC or something.

Serious question. Where is the money coming from? I know this is unlikely, but based on what we’ve heard about the academic issue we heard this year and a physical altercation occurring in the locker room, is it possible that they’re trying to fire him with cause? I know Cleveland State tried that with Dennis Felton, and if I remember right, it was the culmination of many issues (as opposed to a single major issue) that Cleveland State was using to justify the “for cause” firing.

That would be cheap as hell. Even for Milwaukee. I tend to doubt the press release would have been as kind if they were doing that, so I'll rule that one out.

From a purely personal point of view not saying he should be the top choice but if they would hire Jason Shay I would immediately re-up my season tickets that I dropped at later stages of Jeter purgatory era, actually after the academic ban .

There’s realistically no chance those qualify as “for cause”. As for Felton’s situation, he filed a wrongful termination lawsuit in ‘20 against CSU so we’ll see how that goes.

I just wish with Jason Shay that we had gotten to see him at the helm longer than we did. I will say this: the reason for his ouster at ETSU is a positive in my book. He stood up for his kids and their rights and he was willing to pay the bullsh*t price for it. That's a leader.

Wasn’t Donte Jackson a candidate when Baldwin was hired?

I also like Aki Collins (and still can't stand that big, fat kid).

Wasn’t Donte Jackson a candidate when Baldwin was hired? I don't believe so, as he was hired as Grambling State's head coach weeks prior to Baldwin being hired here. I've talked up Jackson in the past, but his record isn't on quite the trajectory it was 2 seasons ago. He now has an overall losing record, yet still impressive for where he's coaching. He also has a remarkable number of Milwaukeeans on his roster. However, he doesn't cut the mustard for what we need right now. We need a serious winner to get this program out of the ditch. Jackson, even with his UWM ties (which I like), seems like too much of a lottery ticket at this time. Jackson would perhaps be the guy to hire if we have an opening when we're out of the ditch.
