If you believe her story, that she hired LaVall Jordan and TJ Otzelberger's story by Greg Matzek is bullsh*t, then she has made two bad hires for men's basketball. Yes, LaVall was only here one year. But in his time at Butler - his dream job - he has hardly kept that program's success going, and is on the precipice of getting fired himself. Pat Baldwin Sr was her hire from step one. Everyone knows and agrees with this. His tenure was a complete dumpster fire, culminating in a 10-22 season with a top-5 national recruit on the roster. Amanda Braun's athletic department won the all-sports McCafferty Trophy in her first year as athletic director. Since then, they have won zero, and are not going to win this year. That's eight straight years without one. In the 13 previous years before she was hired, the athletic department won SIX McCafferty Trophies. What, exactly, is Amanda hanging her hat on? That she got a practice facility started when the funding was set up before she got the job? If anything, the drop from $25 to $16 for that fee has made it more difficult for that building to get done and that happened on her watch. Is it that she made a good hire for women's soccer? Troy Fabiano worked out - to date her only successful coaching hire - but since he left the program in December, she still hasn't filled the position. Is it that she made a good hire for women's soccer? Troy Fabiano worked out - to date her only successful coaching hire - but since he left the program in December, she still hasn't filled the position. |

I don't think anyone here wishes ill on anyone else. This was a difficult year for all of us. As has been stated elsewhere, my best guess is that PBS's future lies somewhere outside of college coaching. |

I just don't want her in that job anymore. I think that it's essential to separate feelings in such matters and not make decisions or judgments based on personal bias or animus. Can't wait 'til she's gone. |
