I used to write a Panther Hoops blog (like Jimmy's PantherU and some others before that). 'Calling it quits for a while. Perhaps the team can motivate this fan base by winning 1st on Tuesday and then 3x more on short rest? I wish I were optimistic. I'm not at all, even if we play IUPUI. How did we get this bad??!! Milwaukee Basketball used to be the singular most entertaining, interesting, exciting thing in my life- for many years. I think we've all lost that loving feeling.

And so it goes. What more words do we even have at this point?

UIC is leaving the Horizon League for the spot in the Missouri Valley Conference that we long coveted. Chicago is simply 10x the (TV, recruiting) market size of Milwaukee so we can't be as surprised about that as we are surprised about how this season never got going..

Thanks for being a Milwaukee Panther and following along; maybe the team will fight for their college careers quite literally and make an HLT run.

It's all '21-'22 has left.

And it appears we are "all in with Baldwin" (Senior, that is..) again next year as Braun extended all coaches for 1 year "because?" of COVID. A contract is a contract. Maybe we'll see each other again in 2023 or 2024 and AD Braun will be long gone.

Maybe by then, the Milwaukee Panther Hoops program will be led by a rising winning coach, and will slowly rebuild to once again become a great program with a great culture and a bright new future.

We can't even make it a game with the mighty UIC Flames.

Oh how I long for games like UIC at UWM on 2/13/2003 in front of 5,738 krazies at Klotsche. The Panthers beat the Flames 81 - 78.

I remember this game wwell. Clay Tucker, Ronnie Jones, Armond Williams, Cedric Banks, Bruce Pearl, Jimmy Collins...

Amanda Braun is denying us more great memories like this game.

She must be fired.

Me neither. It may not be possible, but I really think they need to have about 10 people show up to Panther Arena for a game sometime to realize how much they have played with our flagship athletics program.

Amanda Braun face accountability for being an objective failure at her $220,000/year job? "Sammi" will come to her rescue, don't worry.

I'll be back when Braun is no longer in charge of our Athletics and PBS is no longer in charge of this team that we all love so much and want so much to succeed and make positive Milwaukee memories again.

A lot more Panther fans with a lot more sense realized all of this back in 2016. I was just as distressed then but figured I would give her and her new coaches a chance.

The fact that Braun is still the athletic director and wasn't fired years ago, says it all regarding UW-Milwaukee's weak chancellor and his incompetent administration.

The UW System Board of Regents appointed Mone as chancellor and they approved the hiring of the administration at UW-Milwaukee. The UW System Board of Regents are not holding Mone and the administration accountable. The UW System Board of Regents have failed UW-Milwaukee.
