Patrick Baldwin Jr. was ruled out roughly 90 minutes before the game.
"Just soreness," Baldwin said. "He didn't have the lift and the movement. I just thought another day to recuperate (was important). He'll be day to day.
"He absolutely fought me on this one today. He wanted to do whatever he could. He didn't want to be in a situation where he couldn't at least help our team out. But, it was my call at the end."

nice bounceback from the trainwreck last game to steal a win. surprising, to put it mildly. but good for the team.

The announced crowd was 2,445 and it felt like the crowd was bigger than usual. It seems like we always have horrible games with a decent crowd, so it’s nice to finally have one that gives fans a reason to come back. The broadcast began with several close up floor shots which led me to assume the gathering would be embarrassingly sparse. But as the game went on the production crew strategically showed camera angles that made the crowd look reasonably decent. The audio production was good too, with the crowd sounding like they really got into the game late. This was easily the most entertaining game for me to watch all season. Crowd was probably biggest since the opener, there was also a pretty large group of WSU fans.

Come to think of it, the Panthers also beat Oakland with their large contingent of Jamal Cain fans. Perhaps the secret to the Panthers success is to have a large crowd of opposing fans at home games.

As surely as all the rest of you are, I'm just so sick and tired of the whole PBS/PBJ drama. My buddy and fellow season ticketholder has an interesting take on this: "If you think of it, PBJ is absolutely NBA ready. You never know when he's going to play, he gets regular load management and he almost never posts up despite having a huge height advantage nearly all the time. It's clear they're trying to showcase him as an NBA guard." Wow!!!!! Well said. It’s a shame that the first Milwaukee player in the NBA is going to be him.

One player who has positively surprised me this season is Moses Bol. Before the season I expected nothing from him. He puts forth a lot of energy for someone built like him. He seems to know his limitations and plays to his strengths. We criticize the coaching staff for lack of player development, and rightfully so. But hats off to them if they have anything to do with his development. Bol showed all of those attributes and potential from the very first game of the season, with 7 boards in 14 minutes vs North Dakota... and then was barely played at all after, never being given any consistent minutes until there was less than 1/3rd of the season left. And some of those early season games we REALLY could have used his rebounding and rim-protecting presence, such as the 2pt YSU home loss (Bol plays 1 minute), the 4pt Alcorn State home loss (Bol gets 5 minutes), and the 6pt homecoming loss to EKU (Bol 6 minutes). So I *highly* doubt this staff deserves any credit for how he's playing, now that they are finally allowing him to see the court again for meaningful minutes.

My season ticket-holding friend said he is not going tonight because he has turf toe. He missed the Oakland game too. I am going to politely request he stay away from the arena the rest of the season. I'm going to politely ask you to reconsider. We need to go down in horrific flames so the AD is forced to follow the pied piper out the door.

I doubt the AD's fate will depend on these last 3 or 4 home games.

If Braun is let go, it’ll be when her contract expires next year. There’s no chance Mone will buyout the last year of her contract.

If Braun is let go, it’ll be when her contract expires next year. There’s no chance Mone will buyout the last year of her contract. Most likely. If they let PBS stay until the end of his contract, why would it be any different for Braun? I guess the answer would be Braun does not have the leverage of having a highly touted recruit commit for her final year and it would be ideal to bring in a new AD to hire the new HC. But when has common sense ever applied regarding Athletics to this administration, especially at a time when cost savings have high priority? I hope you and I are wrong.

I was comparing Bol's play this entire season with his previous seasons at Colby CC and UCF. Based on his time at those places, I was expecting nothing from him. As far as any credit the coaches would get for development, no one knows for sure. To be fair, if one is generally critical for lack of player development, they must also recognize examples in which credit is due. Failure to do so demonstrates a lack of credibility because of biasness. Bol's improved play may simply be because of maturity. But look at CJ Wilburn this year. Has there been much player development by Scott Nagy and his staff? It goes both ways.

Whole different world these days with the transfer portal. Hard to judge a coach's recruiting acumen on a year to year basix when so much can change once a player is with a program. Case in point, at the risk of being a rumor mongerer a very reliable source tells me Basile is definitely looking to transfer to a higher program after this year. Pretty much put that in the bank....no big surprise I guess

Pretty much put that in the bank....no big surprise I guess I dont see how much higher he can realistically have an impact at. He's a relatively skilled big man. He'll find a place a level up if he wants it. "Impact" is hard to define. Could he start at a P5 school? That would probably be a stretch, but he would certainly get rotation minutes at some schools. Could he start at some of the schools in the MVC or the A10 or CUSA? Sure.
