Even though we discuss these issues ad nauseum on here, some notable highlights from someone other than us:
11:36 Kevin Hartman - "When men's basketball does well, our numbers do very well. This may shock you..." (shock who, Amanda and her staff?)
18:45 H. Carl Mueller - Referring to his time after grad school at Madison - "What happened, one was Donna Shalala, the other was Gonzaga." He referenced Donna Shalala's hiring of Pat Richter as AD. Regarding Gonzaga, "They made a conscientious effort to build awareness and support for their little university by building a men's basketball team..."
22:10 Joah Tucker - "During our tenure we were able to present the university on a national scene and garner some exposure that really no amount of marketing dollar could accomplish."
23:30 Joah Tucker - "When I say I'm a Panther alum, I say it with my chest out. I'm very proud of it."
28:00 Joah Tucker - "Do not let the panel or the athletic directors and staff off the hook without one tough question. I know Amanda is itching to answer some tough questions." Subsequently, no one asked her any questions.😞
32:05 Erica Sander - after speaking about what she said is the best thing Bud Haidet ever did - hire Bruce Pearl, "how important visibility is and how important winners are..."
The video also featured a short presentation by PBS. He popped in only for a few minutes to make some generic remarks about the importance of athletics at a university. He sounds like a lame duck if I ever heard one.

"The atmosphere is very intimate."
Ain't THAT ever the truth!

“It’s really amazing to have faculty, business leaders, alumni…come together….”
I remember when thousands of them used to do that regularly. That was before 2017.

Remember when the department boasted about their fundraising numbers after Jeter left? Do you know what they haven’t done in the years since? Boast about their fundraising numbers. I’d be curious to see what the numbers have been like since that guy donated the $1M.

Have to give credit to Adam and Joah for at least trying here. I did watch the entire session and it was interesting that three of the contributors are actually older than myself (67).... Joah is a delight. I wonder what the actual objective of this was other than to have some rah rah and state what has been known for a long time but not implemented, executed or supported. There was no real agenda stated other than the list of participants and no summary or next steps. Interested in the scope of the invites, how many accepted and actually went on the call. Certainly the lack of questions indicates sparse.... The cynical part of me wonders if this was done as part of someones performance objectives to check a box. Anyway, I think it was a bit of a kangaroo court having Braun on here and Baldwin too for that matter. Like someone is going to confront her on this call identifying issues like the slide downward since Jeter and for that matter any complements about him as she fired him. Again,no harm no foul but just sayin...wonderin...

I still feel in my soul as if that was Fred Sitzberger saying "I'd like to give the University $1 million!" and Mone responding "Well, then give it to men's basketball! We really need it from a PR standpoint right now! Badly!!!"

I’d be curious to see what the numbers have been like since that guy donated the $1M. That donation itself was a sham. It was painfully obvious the guy was planning to make that donation to a different part of the university, and Mone promised him they'd put the money where he wanted it to go so long as he let them announce he was giving it to men's basketball. Oh, we got the money, but it was in no way actually earmarked for basketball.
