Milwaukee is now ranked 275 out of 358 teams on kenpom. IUPUI is ranked 355. Outside of a few games in the SWAC, the Southland and the MEAC, the worst game in the country tomorrow.
I predict there will be about 1200 fans dressed as empty seats reflected in the box score after the game. Make some noise for the rest of us, invisible fans!

You should wear a flamboyant Elton John-type suit to the game. With a feather boa. You'd be better entertainment than the game itself.

I understand the feeling. It’s nice to go to a game, even if our team isn’t that good. And if things go crappily, at least we can at least distract ourselves with anger toward the coach and team instead of at things that matter much more in the grand scheme of things.

At this point, the outcome of any individual game is of microscopic importance. We need seismic change here.

To confirm this, our game has been given the lowest TTQ rating by BartTorvik.com that is possible (a 1 out of 100) for a game between two D1 teams this season. TTQ basically measures how meaningful, and how exciting a game is expected to be, based on a number of various measures about each team, such as their overall ranking, pace, and quality of play based on efficiency stats. Congrats Horizon League administrators, you've finally made this conference the very worst low major conference in all of D1 MBB! Attachments:

And for the record, MKE is ranked 316th in the nation now on that leading website used by the NCAA selection committee, and IUPUI is officially the worst team in the nation, at 358 of 358. But hey, at least we still have a team in Indy where the Horizon League has their home offices located! Bureaucratic winning!

I know this is old, and there's no way to prove any of it, but this should really be spoken of and thought about far more often...
Just what kind of bribes were given to, or threats made against, the Horizon League's AD's from LeCrone or other HL front office "leaders" to convince them to vote to admit schools like IUPUI and IPFW? And if there weren't any, then shouldn't those AD's all have lost their jobs by now for committing professional mistakes of this caliber?
(Hint: there were)

And while we’re at it, let’s not forget about the HL tournament’s completely foreseeable landing at exciting Farmer’s Coliseum, the basketball arena that Indy forgot.

The real shame is that we have not even sniffed moving conferences at this point. The Horizon is so far from the glory days that once Butler left we should have been doing everything possible to get out. I know you all know this but its hard to blame the Horizon for taking teams when we should have been off this sinking ship years ago. Always gotta feel bad for the guys who still go out and play hard.

Always gotta feel bad for the guys who still go out and play hard. But where would Milwaukee go? Obviously the MVC would be preferred, but they seem to take two types of programs: consistent top mid majors and the Chicago market. Milwaukee hasn’t been a consistent top mid major since before Rob Jeter, and the Milwaukee market simply doesn’t compare with the Chicago market. The MAC would be nice, but UWM doesn’t have football. Butler made two national championship games before moving to the Atlantic 10. The Ohio Valley is in much worse shape than the Horizon right now (and the nearest school for that would be… EIU, maybe? SIUe? The WAC is ridding itself of its only program anywhere near Milwaukee. That leaves the Summit. Right now, the Summit is a better conference, but not as good a geographic fit (WIU or UST would probably be the closest, but trips to Tulsa and Denver would become the norm). Frankly, the Horizon League is probably the best realistic choice for this program. And unless we get lucky with another Bo Ryan/Bruce Pearl duo of coaches, that will probably be the case. It was the case before Braun started here and will likely be the case for at least the foreseeable future. if the HL loses programs like NKU, Oakland, and Wright State and replaces them with Chicago State, SIUe, and St. Francis -PA, then I think a move to the Summit should and would be pursued.

What is up with the intense microphone that has been used the last 2 games? Larivee had it and now Warras has it. Anyways, Panthers up 7-2 early.
