That would take care of Baldwin, Steve. What about the rest of the clown show?

Like I said before. I think the system is rigged in favor of AB unless Mone, Tammy Baldwin or Lena Taylor are all gone. Maybe we can get lucky and she can cash in on all our her Women of Influence awards etc....in other words, move on and fool more people for more money , power or even less accountability which is doubtful on the latter

Isn't Mone VERY close to 70? I can never find an exact age with an Internet search.

Maybe we can get Tommy Thompson, then again he would not take a paycut to earn less than what they would have to offer a good coach. When Jeter was here he was making way more than the chancellor

I think if we took true look, we all know that Pat Baldwin, is a coach who loses the will of his team. Through seer ignorance, the suspensions, the lack of responsibility, and then his own lack of coaching adjustments. I got hyped up for PBJ, because commits come when a program wins. If PBJ would have had this team winning, maybe we could have recruited better, started a rebuild, but this failure is nothing but more ticket sales lost, less care and less f***s to give about the program. The job isnt worth it, as long as the administration in place is still here. They wont get the next hire right. Yet Cleveland state who was in worse shape than us got their hire correct and then some with Dennis Gates. Hell even Chicago state who’s the worst program in the country looks like they hit a home run hire. AB wanted TJO who looks like a great hire for ISU . As bleak as it may look we’re 1 hire away from being back in a winning position.

We have put some focus on PBS's 52-82 record (.388). As bad as that is -- and it's abysmal -- it's not NEARLY as bad as his record over the last three-plus years, his tenure with his own guys. Ready?! He's 36-65 (.356)! Oy-vey!!!

All I'll say is that as referenced in the Bears column by Rick Morrissey, it's the same group of people doing the hiring! We would be in Year 3 of PBS instead of Year 5.

The money quote of PBS from that article: “I just don’t want to set him up for failure.”

Remember when Todd Rosiak reported approximately this time last year that Jonathan Lathon was on the verge of coming off of an injury to play? It never happened that season. I am sure Todd is not just making this up, he just reports what he is being told by the coaching staff.

Shutting down Patrick Baldwin Jr. 'not even in the equation', UW-Milwaukee coach says Todd Rosiak Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
UW-Milwaukee's Patrick Baldwin Jr. has missed nearly half the Panthers' games this season because of injury or illness. What was supposed to be a banner season for the UW-Milwaukee Panthers and Patrick Baldwin Jr. has instead degenerated into a mess.
Injuries and illness have kept the freshman phenom on the sideline for about half of UWM’s games, with the Panthers sagging to a disappointing 5-12 overall and 3-5 in the Horizon League as a result.
Thursday night’s 81-77 loss to Illinois-Chicago at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena followed a familiar pattern — Baldwin on the bench in warmups and the multiple sideline seats reserved for NBA scouts intending to get an in-person look at the 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward remaining vacant.
Panthers coach Pat Baldwin said after the game that his son is still considered “day to day” as he deals with issues stemming from a left ankle injury that dates to early December 2020, when Baldwin Jr. was just beginning his senior season at Sussex Hamilton.
But the coach also made crystal clear that despite the assumptions of many, there are no plans to shut Baldwin Jr. down.
“No,” Baldwin said flatly.
Baldwin Jr. entered the season widely viewed as a likely lottery pick in this year's NBA draft, and despite the way the season’s gone it's still believed he'll be taken in the top 15 or so.
“I don’t think either of us — no, I don’t think, I know — that’s not even in the equation for us,” Baldwin continued. “Because he wants to play. He loves to play, and he feels like it’s just a matter of time before he’s able to get back out there.
“It would be too premature to think about that, anyway.”
Baldwin Jr. spurned offers from multiple Division I powers in committing last spring to play for his father, who is in his fifth season at UWM with a 52-82 record.
He won a gold medal as part of Team USA’s U19 World Cup team in the summer, then was a first team all-Horizon League pick in the preseason as the expected linchpin of a Panthers team predicted to finish fourth in the league.
A 21-point, 11-rebound game over 37 minutes in Baldwin Jr.’s Division I debut keyed UWM to a season-opening victory at North Dakota.
But it’s been a series of starts and stops since.
Baldwin Jr. rolled his left ankle in a collision against Bowling Green on Nov. 23, causing him to miss the next three games. He returned with a terrific 26-point, seven-rebound outing in a victory over Robert Morris, hitting all six of his three-point attempts, but followed by struggling in losses to Colorado and Rhode Island.
Then he contracted COVID-19, leading to another three-game absence.
He returned Jan. 5 at UW-Green Bay — coming off the bench for the first time — but played only 11 minutes before departing early in the second half with what was later described as a calf injury.
Baldwin Jr. has missed three more games since, and it’s unlikely he’ll take the court for UWM’s next game Saturday afternoon against IUPUI.
“It’s the ankle, but I think it’s other things that trigger it,” Baldwin said when asked for specifics about his son’s injury.
“You overcompensate, and sometimes it can be the calf. I know even before that he had an Achilles’ strain. So, we just want to take our time with him. I don’t want to put him in jeopardy, because No. 1, we still have a long season and if he’s available for our season, he can help us.
“But obviously there’s even more long-term stuff that I’m going to make sure of. If you asked if he could play today, I would say no. Then we’ll see on Saturday. I’m just giving you what our trainer’s giving me.”
The Panthers have 14 more regular-season games, beginning with IUPUI, and then the Horizon League tournament, so there is still time for Baldwin Jr. to make an impact.
But healing is only part of the equation; the stamina and strength to be able to play long stretches at a high level are necessities as well.
“It’s more the injury that he had, he’s trying to strengthen up the muscles in that area because he keeps tweaking and turning his ankle. That’s just getting stronger,” Baldwin said. “Then there’s the endurance side of it. I think once you’re in greater shape, you can respond and recover a little quicker.
“So, he’s still working his way back. You can’t go one game and then miss three and think the conditioning is going to be there. So, while we’re trying to get his ankle and lower extremities stronger, he has to be in condition, too.
“I just don’t want to set him up for failure.”
Baldwin was asked if he has confidence his son will be ready to return and contribute soon.
“I want to have confidence,” he said. “But it’s on him, our trainer. Like I said, it’s day to day. So, he could tell me, ‘Dad I feel great,’ on Saturday. I don’t know if he’ll play on Saturday, but we can continue the progression of him getting back.
“All I care about is the season. Yeah, I’ve got to think about his future. But I go with what Patrick tells me and with what our trainer tells me. If he feels good and he has X-rays or MRIs that say what he’s capable of or able to do, then we go with that.”
Having played in eight games, Baldwin Jr. ranks second on UWM at 13.4 points per game and first in rebounding at 6.8. He hasn’t shot well from the field (37.1%, 36 for 97) or beyond the arc (31.9%, 15 for 47).
NBA scouts undoubtedly would like to see more from him in the weeks to come — both statistically as well as competitively with regard to defending and mixing it up more frequently in the paint.
But that will only happen once he’s deemed ready to go.
“Like any competitor, he’s frustrated,” Baldwin said of his son. “He wants to be out there. He wants to help. He wants to see us win.”
