Per your request ...
Prior to sweeping the Phoenix in Will Ryan's first two games versus a Horizon League opponent, we had lost eight of the previous 10 meetings with GB by an average of nearly 10 points per game.
Before those 10 games, we had won 21 of 39 games since the start of the 1998-99 season.
See, these really aren't all that difficult to do.

Anyone else planning on making the trip up to Green Bay tomorrow night?

The line is GB -2. I know some of you have made some good scratch on fading the Panthers this season, but this line is absurd. GB is about the only program that makes me feel good about where we’re at right now.

The line is much more an indictment of our program than it is an endorsement of Green Bay's.

There's a game tonight? Against Green Bay?
Anyone remember when that was an actual event -- the kind of game you'd automatically find a reason to take off early from work and head north for? Think pre-2017. Now, the JS doesn't even list it in the "Sports on TV and Radio" box. Can you blame them? (Of course, it's obviously not on TV and for all I know the radio broadcasts have disappeared too.)
And I don't care what the line is; anything less than a double digit trouncing of the Phoenix would be just another indictment. GB stinks so bad there are probably only two teams in the HL that are worse.

I was looking back over some old games. Ten years ago, there were almost 4,500 at the Arena and Kaylon hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to win it 64-63! Remember?!

Weird. Apparently the fans back then didn't come dressed as empty seats!

Feb. 24, 2007 -- Avery Smith spots Paige Paulsen under the basket and hits him with a perfect pass for a buzzer-beating layup to lift the seemingly overmatched 8-21 Panthers to a stunning 74-73 victory, spoiling the Phoenix's postgame Senior Night festivities.

(Of course, it's obviously not on TV and for all I know the radio broadcasts have disappeared too.) It will be on my TV tonight on ESPN+ (though possibly self-delayed). The radio broadcast will be on 101.7 The Truth. The mkepanthers.com schedule page has finally been updated to reflect the new radio broadcast home, at least for tonight's game. A press release on the website about the radio situation would have been nice. But hey, this is UWM Athletics, where information that a fan typically would like to know is often kept secret.

Twenty years ago today in front of nearly 3,900 at the Klotsche Center, at the time the eighth-highest total in building history, freshman Adrian Tigert scored 15 points (at the time a career high) and junior Clay Tucker added 13 points and 11 rebounds as Milwaukee downed Green Bay 63-51.

The Panthers have also been on this 101.7FM all year. So, it's not new. I did find the station on TuneIn radio for streaming. Not correct. 540 AM is simulcast on 101.1 FM. The latter went to the new owner and is simulcasting the new Progressive Talk format. The Panther broadcasts were previously on 101.1 FM, but no longer are as a result of the format change and pending sale. The Panthers were on 101.7 FM for the first time last Saturday. Initially, I did not recognize the difference either.
