The team would also greatly benefit from a clear and obvious point guard. There was certainly ample time to address this during the offseason. At this point, coach needs to assign Josh Thomas, or his son, to starting PG duties, and make it clear to them that that's what's needed for the team to win. But what am I saying, we all know that will never happen lol.

Starts with energy and wanting to be here. JT and a few others seem to be checked out right now. Outside of a few guys like newby JSP Sinani gholston and then ellingson at the end of the bench no one else seems to care There are not checked out for nothing it’s a reason for all this crap but who’s willing to tell the truth why it’s really happening is the question! Seems to me coach lies when recruiting players, and when they sign and later see the truth and reality of their situation, they stop being willing to play for him. It's the downfall of many bad coaches. So according to our AD Amanda Braun, he (Pat Baldwin Sr) was supposedly hired in part for his integrity and strong moral character, but he is really the opposite - like a good scam artist. This is his first head coaching gig, afterall, so no one could really know until now.

I’ve been holding my tongue this is a F*cking disaster this I definitely know what the problem is!!! This Sh*t is been happening since August the team is lost all this PBJ hype has destroyed this team and this young man has too much pressure on him to be a savior for a sinking ship!!!!! the team is divided in MY opinion and don’t give a F*ck!!!!! and it shows. And who is to blame is all I’m asking 1-4 is unacceptable and a lost to a Ivy League team GTFOH!!!!! I’m sick of this crap this is getting worse than watching a Chicago Bears game right now how much more can I take? Quoting this to save it for posterity's sake - because I won't be surprised if Tony gets pressured to delete his posts one day.

Well, I think I figured out why PBS has been such a failure as a head coach at Milwaukee. In the position description on Pages 5-6 of the contract, it appears that he is a head basketball coach in name only, as his duties appear to be to coach, manage, and recruit for the men’s soccer team. That would explain the complete lack of a game plan in every game for which he has supposedly been the head basketball coach… he was too busy working for the men’s soccer team. Either that, or the university and athletic department (and PBS, for that matter) failed to proofread the contract of one of the highest paid employees of UWM.

I'm officially announcing the formation of a new fan group that will assemble before all men's basketball home games at The Arena. It will be called the Buckethead Brigade and we already have four people committed to participate! Exciting! Headwear must be worn over your face!

The link contains correspondence and a document from 2017 and nothing thereafter. It does not prove or disprove the existence of an extension. 1. Please explain how you can derive from these documents whether or not there would be an extension. 2. Is there something more that you did not link? 3. What did you specifically request? 4. Can we rule out an agreement that may not be verified in an open records check?

Here is how this should play out.
1. End of Contract Baldwin walks.
Simple. There has been no progression in tenure. There has been no hype for the program
If Amanda sticks to what she said when she fired Rob (and not that Rob shouldnt have been). But you dont make the tournament, you haven't done anything.
Not a single winning season No Tournament Wins (In Season or Post) Nothing to show for the last 5 years.
48-74 overall record. Someone else posted something like 7 wins after January.
Regardless of the outcome this year.
Baldwin gone, PBJ gone and we find a young coach to bring some excitement to the program.

C’mon Tommy, you don’t think those “standards” were serious, do you?
It has been said here before but it bears repeating. Nothing really changes if the same person selects a new coach. Things have to change dramatically above the coach’s level.

Things have to change dramatically above the coach’s level. I think we are to the point that even AB and anyone else involved in the hiring process could select a better coach than what we have now. I'd take that chance at the end of this season. However, I agree that the program would not significantly improve. It would not likely be any better than it has been since Pearl left. I have been aspiring for better than that for more than a decade and I know I am not alone in that desire. I agree that things would have to change dramatically above the coach's level for that to happen.

I'd take that chance at the end of this season. However, I agree that the program would not significantly improve. It would not likely be any better than it has been since Pearl left. Many of us have been aspiring for better than that for more than a decade. I agree that things would have to change dramatically above the coach's level for that to happen. And by "many," you mean the 5-10 souls remaining around here who just can't bring themselves to admit what a terrible decision AB made to fire Jeter in '16 with the team returning by far the best talent in what was then a very solid league? Cognitive dissonance paralyzes the reasoning process. Have said it many times and it's still true: the incontestable proof of the idiocy of that decision is in the thousands of fans who easily saw the disastrous and clearly predictable consequences of it and simply said goodbye to the program. Over at the Pavilion they can count as many empty seats as they want to and insist they are really fans in clever disguise, but here in the real world the rest of us see -- empty seats. And a cratered program. Those of us who expressed our fear back in '16 that it could take fully half a decade just for the program to get back to its average quality and record under Jeter (whether you think that was good or bad) sadly underestimated the true degree of damage. The PBJ experiment may yet "pay off" this year with a winning record because we play in a stupendously bad league. But by early March we'll be back to square one, and everyone knows it now. So forgive me for having no interest in watching what happens if AB cuts bait with Baldwin and again makes the hiring choice. Been there, seen that. Doesn't work.

Though "many" is a relative term, I can see why the word would trigger your senses. I edited that sentence to provide clarity. As for the Jeter comments we've gone around and around on that so many times for what is now several years. There is no point in rehashing. We are not going to convince each other. We agree on much more than our diatribe seems to indicate. Take away the issue of when we think the program's downfall began, and we would not be having nearly as much fun as we do with this banter.

Chose a B1G school, promised the moon and the stars to sign, now is literally the last girl off the bench. Team sucks, too.

This whole regime from the top down specializes in the selling of snake oil and hiding from adversity. Oh well, no sense in crying over spilled coffee.

Fran. You know what I mean.
I agree Jeter should have been given 1 year with the team he had.
Braun is the dumpster the fire is in.
Replacement across the board would be ideal but I take what I can.
