My emotion is further removed from last night's outcome and I've had the night to receive and review texts from a gaggle of longtime diehards who no longer die hard. Here's the question: look at the final score, fellas. How does Patrick make any difference with this coach and "system?" We were going to get to 45 no matter who was doing the scoring ... I think. Don't get me wrong: it's great to claim a Top-5 recruit, but we aren't appreciably better than we've been the previous five years and that's ... sobering. That is because we run no offense. It's one guy dribbling around and chucking up a shot. Fade away one legged 8 footers. No ball movement. The North Dakota boardcast hit it on the head. UWM runs no plays for PBJ. If your not using your fancy new toy the correct way do you really have a fancy new toy. If you get a smart phone and only call or text, do you really have a smart phone. If you have a smart TV and only hook up a cable box, do you really gave a smart TV. Plays need to be ran thru PBJ. Get him in the blocks. Not going one on one from 23 feet away.

It’s clear that we just don’t know how to have nice things. PBJ obviously gives us the best (and really only) chance to win. Yet we continue to try and make NBA style shots with our non-NBA caliber players. Look at the box scores for Oakland. Their offense runs through Cain and Moore (their best players). PBJ and Dre just as good, if not better, than them. So what is the difference? It appears to me the Oakland players know their roles more than our players. That’s on the coaching staff to make that message clear. It’s one thing for PBJ to take shots and get 15-20 points per game. But if we use him the right way, he’s going for 25-30 and we might actually find ourselves not down 20 (or in yesterday’s case 40) points.

Samba Kane should start unless/until VBJ or Bol or JP step it up prove me wrong.
We only shot 12 3's in a game that we needed to shoot 3's well to keep it close. I could be wrong, but I don't think we'll shoot and play that bad again this year.
Need a consistent rotation and a full team embrace of PASSING/ASSISTS/[[[SHOT CREATION]]]. 1-on-1 will (esp. in the midst of a strong press) achieve nothing, other than some Horizon League wins and a 2nd Rd. HL Tourney exit. Need to work together. Get the ball in PBJ hands (and Dre and JT and whoever has a hot hand), but we need to work together. Last night was a discombobulated a trainwreck..
It's tough to watch games like last night, but sometimes it is necessary for correction. Or we could take it so bad that we just throw in the towel on '21-'22 because who doesn't love being hyperbolic and giving up.
This team will bounce back. I just wonder if we can get good enough to compete with a team like Florida/Wisconsin/Marquette. The answer today is not necessarily the same as the answer will be in February/March.

It seems like the best offense would be to get the ball to PBJ on the elbow and either score it from there, drive it or facilitate. That shots seems automatic for him. Instead we have guys dribbling 30 feet from the basket and running screen and roll which doesnt work.
Dre needs to be better. Not sure what is going on with him. Markeith might need to start over Newby and Lathon. Neither has been that impressive.

Good points, victor, but this is a great opportunity to point out that PBS has only won 7 games after Jan. 24th against strictly Horizon League opponents in his 4 seasons thus far. Don't get your hopes up. His teams REGRESS as the season goes on, not improve.

Guy is a shooter and smart player , we just may not be using him right.

Are we good enough to compete with Florida or Wisconsin or Marquette? Normally? No. Right now? Absolutely not. In March? Probably not then, either. They are simply more talented, in every aspect than we are. That's the difference between a high major and a mid major team, absent the mid majors shooting the lights out and the high major playing like crap, the high major is going to win.

Does anyone else here remember what happened on Dec. 10, 2015 or Dec. 23 of that same year?

69-54 Tigers!!! I love it!!! Holy sh*t. Texas Southern became the first Southwestern Athletic Conference team to beat a ranked SEC program in The Associated Press poll era dating to 1936.
