Looking into the Florida team a bit and found that its starting five are all transfers — from Michigan, Penn State, Louisiana Tech, Cleveland State and UMKC. (Several transferred before this year.). It’s amazing to me that a high major program with a not too distant history of back to back national titles is so dependent on (or committed to) transfers. It also shows how difficult it is for midmajor teams to hold on to good players now.
I really can’t see how this is going to promote sustained interest in a program at almost any level, but especially at midmajors.
