brewers lose 2-0, managing only 3 hits on the day. It is perplexing how the Crew can score 20 runs in two games, then make a pitcher with a 6.63 ERA look like a Cy Young candidate.

Adames hits a 3 run bomb, Woodruff strikes out 12 and the Brewers move to 16-8 with a 6-3 win over the Reds. Brewers lead the Cards by 2.5 in the division, and their 16 wins are second most in the NL ( behind the Mets (18)) and 3rd most in the majors (The Yankees also have 18)

Nine days ago the Crew had a winning record but a negative differential in runs scored versus runs allowed (-3) and were the only team in MLB in that situation.
After tonight, the Crew has the third highest run differential at +36. Only the Mets and the Dodgers have higher differentials at +49 each.

Yanks are also +49. so the brewers are 4th, behind a 3 way tie.

I'm following this afternoon's game on the internet while at work.
I am noticing that the Reds' starter today is throwing 90 mile per hour change-ups.
Let that sink in.
An off-speed pitch that clocks in at 90 mph.
I can't imagine standing in a batter box against a pitcher whose fast-ball clocks in in the triple digits, and who, when he takes something off the pitch, is still throwing 90 mph.
And the Crew has already hit three four home-runs against him and are currently leading 87-3.

If my math is right, the Brewers are on pace to smack 288 home runs this season!
