Consistent with the decision made by the university in August, there will be no limit on the capacity of our venues. However, in accordance with the CDC, Milwaukee Public Health Department recommendations and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus policies, masks will be required for all spectators, regardless of vaccination status, at UWM Panther Arena, the Klotsche Center and Elite Sport Clubs: River Glen during the 2021-22 season. This includes but is not limited to men's basketball games, women's basketball games, swim meets, tennis matches and indoor track meets. Masks must be worn at all times, except while actively eating or drinking. Masks must completely cover the wearer's nose and mouth. Spectators failing to adhere to this policy will be subject to disciplinary measures, including being asked to leave the venue. Children under 2 years old are exempt from the mandatory mask policy.

Good to know. It’s a small price to pay to be able to go to basketball games again.

It's rather disappointing news. Yet, not the end of world. It's UWM doing UWM things.
The 4x6x1 bag policy set by the WCD will make for tons of angry women having to walk back to their car to drop off their purse.

There should be a mandatory vax/negative test requirement for all attending. Disappointing that the University is being so timid about a simple, obvious, reasonable public health measure.

This is all I care about:
“Masks must be worn at all times, except while actively eating or drinking.”
Luckily, I have a beer on me at all times.

You're forgetting that despite our increased season ticket sales, social distancing will still be pretty easy in the arena.

While true, it’s not necessarily the seating bowl that would be the problem. It’s not outside, but the ceiling is quite high and it’s a fairly open area. However, the concourses could get quite cramped even with a tiny crowd.

If you people have learned nothing else in the last 16 years, shouldn't y'all have learned that I am not to be taken seriously?

Maybe not this year, but last year, though that may have just been wishful thinking.

I would like to thank the University for saving me a great deal of gas money and travel time. It'll be much easier to watch all the games on ESPN+ on my couch.
With luck, I'll be able to attend the Green Bay game at the Resch without being forced to virtue signal.
