PBS extension/PBJ commitment

I understand you are trying to give a range of options, but I don't see how some of the eventualities you posit follow from the premises. The last option, for example, suggests that a 3+ year extension would lead to "PBJ commits, stability, > 50% NCAAT appearance, positive impact to recruiting." None of that necessarily follows; in fact only the first even seems more likely. You might as well have added "and FREE BEER!"

I don't know why this hasn't sunk in to everyone, but apart from the question of Jr. himself the recruiting ship has already sailed for next season. At this point we're recruiting and will attract the same average level of players that we have for the last five years. Over that time we have gotten lucky with a few of them, but most have turned out exactly as we should have expected. Getting lucky works out in recruiting no more often than it does in a casino.

Also, why do people think there wouldn't be a rebuild after PBJ leaves let alone when PBS leaves, regardless of when? What kind of mass exodus are you expecting that hasn't happened already? What kind of great culture is being destroyed? If you want a positive recruiting effect, fix your flaws, win more games and build a culture that makes people WANT to stay.

Thanks Fran. Creating a simple poll means the options need to be a little more black and white. I realize that a result of an extension, regardless of the length, guarantees nothing. Let's live a little and express what our desires are as Panther fans.
If yours is no extension, then by all means, check the box.

Stability refers to our ability to hire an assistant that isn't worried about needing to find a job again next season. >50% NCAAT appearance is an assumption that PBJ signing on would result in a higher likelihood of us making the tournament this season. Positive impact to recruiting is because commits don't have to worry as much about their coach being fired following this season. I don't know why I have to explain all of this, and I understand as someone who is trained in the field of law that you need to debate everything, but let's just let our hair done for a second and vote on what you'd prefer to have happen as a fan(?) of the program. Thanks.

I was limited with the amount of characters I could have in the poll holic. No extension guarantees a rebuild. An extension doesn't. It's relatively simple.

There's over 1,000 players who were in Division I last season who are uncommitted in the transfer portal.
