For men's basketball, season ticket prices did not increase in any seat location and, in some seat locations, prices decreased by 20 percent. Gold and Black sections have been combined into one price level. New for the upcoming season will be a $99 Gold Access Pass, which gives fans access and a ticket to each home game. The 12-month subscription payment plan consists of only $8 per month and seat locations will be assigned to pass holders 48 hours prior to tip-off.
The 15 percent Alumni, Faculty, and Staff discount remains on the ticket portion on men's basketball season memberships for all levels but the $99 Gold Access Pass. Season ticket membership renewals will start on April 19th online. MEN'S BASKETBALL Season Tickets Total Price COURTSIDE $829 BLACK $279 WHITE $169 GRAY $129 GOLD ACCESS PASS $99

How many of those new sales go away if PBJ decides to go elsewhere? Sure, i'm hearing the odds are that he's playing for UWM, but i wouldn't bet the price of season tickets unless i'd heard it was official...

Tickets, tickets.. get your tickets...
One thing is for sure: we need to build a great team for '21-'22. Coach's future depends on it. Our own interest in the program depends on it. The program itself depends on it lbvs.
And the university, whether it realizes it or not, does depend heavily on the regional and national exposure it is able to garner- among high school kids (who like March Madness) interested in furthering their academics. Not just existing academics who read about the very successful UWM educational and research endeavors that take place off the courts and fields-
...where the much more public display of a university takes place.

A constructive comment about ticket sale marketing:
I don't think it is prudent to specifically state the actual numbers. 200 new season tickets in an otherwise nearly empty 10,000 seat arena doesn't sound like much. Boasting about such numbers in a major league market reinforces a minor league image within the general populace. As a sports fan base that generally follows the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and Golden Eagles, attendance is thought of as a number in the thousands, not the hundreds. Any number in the hundreds does not create much urgency in the minds of the average Joe sports fan.
Dont get me wrong. I do appreciate the boost in sales, which is a very good thing for this program. But in this case, just making general comments such as "big increase in season ticket sales" would likely generate more demand while still being truthful. I am also thankful for the transparency, which we don't get enough of from this program.

We do try to be as transparent as possible with each situation - attendance, ticket sales, etc. Feel free to pass along any other thoughts.
