We are 3.5 point dogs. No Kool-Aid needed for this one. We are the better team. We played them well when we weren’t clicking and firing on all cylinders like we are now, and tomorrow night we will play them especially well. If for some reason they do have a late lead, they should be, and will be, very nervous after what we did to them and recently WSU late in the game. I honestly don’t think we will need a late comeback. We match up with this team well, and coach has been doing a good job of using timeouts to calm the team down and stop the bleeding. G of D is going to rant early to avoid the 24pt deficit. Seniors continue to lead the way, and Dre and the under classmen will come up clutch and when we need them. Panthers by 7-8 pts. I’d like to see Lucas and Thomas set the tone early with some drives to the basket. Can’t afford to chuck 3s from the very beginning because we’ll likely fall behind if we don’t connect. If CBJ or Gholston are open, by all means take the shot.
Another key is going to be turnovers and defensive stops. We are pretty good in transition and not so great with running set plays (mainly because they always end in missed 3s or jump shots). Hopefully CSU misses a few shots and we can capitalize before they settle in.
Man, I’m excited for the game. And nervous. Let’s get that W tomorrow and finish it off on Tuesday!
