Due to the unbalanced nature of the Horizon League schedule because of COVID-19, this season the championship will be seeded utilizing a formula that considers four factors: League winning percentage, strength of schedule, weighting road wins vs. home wins and number of League games played. The HL will provide weekly updates on seeding after each weekend’s games and will announce the final seeding for the championship after the end of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 20.

so tiop 4 teams get byes, 5-12 play the first round(5v12, 6v 11, 7v10, 8v9). if the season ended right now, then by winning percentage, we would get the 4th and last bye, and would get a home game on March 2nd against the re-seeded 5th team

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s right. CSU, WSU, UIC, NKU, and OU are all above .500 while Milwaukee is sitting at 5-5 in league play. Also winning % is only part of the equation unless I am missing something.

3 of the tournament games went to OT tonight. the only game that finished in regulation was NKU stealing it from Detroit in the final seconds.

So, still don't find a listing on the semi yet. How does the Horizon League not put that out! its going to be Cleveland St v us in the 1-4, Oakland v NKU in the 2-3. I'm guwessing they are waiting for the times to be finalized. |
