XFl wasnt doing any better the second time around. Attendance was better than the AAF. Also, ratings were solid on Fox and FS1.

So the California State University system will have fall classes almost exclusively online. How far "exclusively" goes is TBD but while this has a more immediate effect on college football, basketball season starts the same semester. So if universities aren't open in Sept and Mark Emmert doesn't see sports happening without campuses open, how will they be in October when basketball starts practice? This could already compromise the WAC, Big West & MWC seasons.
Regardless of what happens in WI, if campuses aren't open in IL & MI, do we even have a season? At a minimum, we'll lose out on games from 3 conference opponents & 3 more from non-conference opponents.
Something to keep in mind over the coming months.

The idea of Larry Scott having more or equal authority over Washington & Washington State than Jay Inslee is laughable in every regard.

I vote Larry Scott to have more authority over Jay Inslee.

"Coincidentally", in-person classes will end on the day of SC's last home game for football.

"Coincidentally," in-person classes will end on the day of SC's last home game for football. Good catch. The NCAA loses all credibility in its argument that student-athletes are amateurs if they bring athletes back without the general student body. I'm sure Mark Emmert would be particularly happy to find out one of his most prominent institutions is so obviously making its schedule around the home football season.

Many coaches want their players back. The lifestyle for many of these players are better and safer on campus, then where they comes from. Or where they might go to work out at. The campus setting are controlled for these athletes.

The campus setting are controlled for these athletes. Except by bringing the athletes back to campus to play sports that generate millions of dollars in revenue while simultaneously leaving the general student body at home, you tacitly acknowledge that the carefully-protected veneer of the "amateur student-athlete" is bullsh*t.

Well, it seems to be headed to be a moot point. Schools will have students in fall.

It's nice that we are seeing movement in the right direction. However, I have a feeling that it's going to be a while before anything actually gets underway. I think that there are way too many unknowns that will not allow sports to be played before September.
High School and college sports are going to be a mess as well. They still don't have a solid plan for teaching students in person.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I am preparing for the worst...
