LCA is great. The problems are both of their tenants suck and tickets (face value) can be stupidly expensive. A front row seat in the upper bowl on a weekend can cost $125 for a Wings' game.

I was there. There was nowhere close to 7500 people in that arena during the Oakland game. Not even if you count the band instruments as people.

Same trick as our athletic department used to goose the numbers for our season finale.
To quote a well- known simpleton: Sad!

Why is the commish so against going back to the old format? It rewards the regular season in a sport that helmet head says it doesn't matter until March.
Just because the MVC works in St. Louis and the MAC works in Cleveland, doesn't mean that format work for the HL.
Last, attendance numbers will or might be up. Well, a pass is $45. Oakland fans did not show up on Tuesday and Wright State looked to buy 500 more for Tuesday night. There is your attendance bump. Just look on TV and how bad it looks on the ESPN. No energy in the building and mostly empty seats.

I’m guessing the logistics of moving the tournament at a moment’s notice got to be too much. Keeping it at a single location, regardless of the outcomes, is a lot less work. Since quarterfinals attendance suck for almost every tournament, why not let the higher seed host them AND have the regular season champ host the semifinals and final? Yes you still run the risk of the champ losing but the odds are dramatically less. Green Bay was the only host to lose in the semifinals in the 10 years before this format. Have the host team play in the later of two games in hopes their fans watch the earlier game.

Hard to disagree it is easier to have the tournament in one location. That said, it was done in year's past. You can't have no energy in a building on ESPN in what is the biggest game of the year for your league.

Our AD needs to get a set of balls and lead an effort to end this.

Our AD needs to get a set of balls and lead an effort to end this. I can't stop laughing! You realize that Snagglepuss voted to CREATE this mess, don't you?? And you also realize that much like the bumbling idiot that is our league commissioner, she'd rather die than admit wrongdoing of any kind, right?

Title Game- 7,595 Semi's- 5,398 Qfinal Sunday-6,771 Qfinal Sat-6,276 First Round Fri.-4,248
Actually the numbers don't seem that bad in what they report. On par with the old format. Thing is, did the actually body count come up to 13,000.
