Watching the MVC final, even with two teams playing within a pretty easy drive of St. Louis I would guess the arena is less than 50% full. And the MVC is a premier mid-major conference.
The idea of a mid-major single site tournament was proved wrong by the old HLT. The idea of a LOW major single site tournament (and the HL is now undeniably a low major conference) is sheer lunacy.

Correct -- it's like they took a really bad idea and then asked themselves "How can we make this much, much worse?"
I was at the first Motor City Malaise, and while our Sunday afternoon loss to GB was very disappointing, there was no way I would have been able to stay for games on Monday and Tuesday night anyway! It's a ridiculously fan-UNfriendly schedule.
