This guy's "Offfff course" after every Oakland 3 is a bit much. I was annoyed by that on Thursday. What is a worse call in your opinion. This or the YSU guy with "bang bang" after every three?

PB came to Goolsby's only once. After the Loyola win. He stuck with his assistants and didn't really work the room at all. The couple times I've been at Goolsby's after a Panther game, Jeter and Jordan didn't really work the room.

The couple times I've been at Goolsby's after a Panther game, Jeter and Jordan didn't really work the room. Jeter would come talk to us pretty much every game at Goolsbys & Val went out of his way after the first game to come up to us at Goolsbys and would after pretty much every game. I missed the Loyola game, so I have yet to meet PB at a post game party as I have never seen him at Goolsbys. Not trying to start the Jeter argument at all (please don't haha), but it would be cool for your coach to come over at least once in awhile to mingle especially when the program is in the so called "dumps" due to a certain person.

We lose sight of things in loses. I thought Vance Johnson had a nice game. 10pts 6rebs 4/4 from the foul line. I'm incredibly impressed with how much he has improved since the start of the year.

I had no experience with LJ, but I hear really good things about his accessibility. As for Rob, some of us talked to him after every home game. The players and coaches weren't hard to find; they would get an ovation every time they walked through the door at Goolsby's.

Met Baldwin at a private party twice and found him to be passionate and honest. He knows the game and is determined to turn the program around. He was Braun's choice to replace Jeter. Have fun with that one. He understands recruiting and I relish the opportunity to see Warren Newsome , Mosely in the backcourt and Mitchell at shooting forward. These are players that will put fans back into the PA. They are smart kids, lean and lanky. Most observers think the staff is better than either Jeter or Jordan. If Baldwin leaves there are replacements. It is how Butler turned their program around. Chicago is in play as well as Minnesota and some quality JUCO programs for great mid lmajor players.
Finally I think Baldwin is growing as a coach. He is all basketball and on top of things with his players and staff. He is professional, loves his family, and dedicated. If one wants renegades like Bruce Pearl to run the program let's start paying players too. My advise is go to games, bring friends, cheer your hearts out, enjoy a beer at Goolsbeys with or without the coach. Often his son was playing or practicing the same nigh the Panthers were playing. It wouldn't surprise me if he just wanted to be with his kid and talk basketball.

So you’re saying that if everything goes well, Pat Baldwin SOME day may have the program back where Rob Jeter had it. Because like Jeter, he’s all basketball. And like Jeter, he has a great staff. And like Jeter, he has a great family that he’s devoted to. And like Jeter he’s passionate about and devoted to the program. Excellent. The only thing we DON’T know is whether PB can coach or recruit! In those rather important respects it’s far too early for us to know, although finishing with a losing record in the worst Horizon League in history is not exactly a good start, is it?
Well hasn’t this been a wonderful change then?! Well done Ms. Braun! Two years in the dumpster, but there MAY be light at the end of this subterranean tunnel — years from now!! Let the fans know they may want to start thinking about getting season tickets again. — in two or three years.
This is what happens when you “fix” something that isn’t broke.

I'm not sure how I feel about Baldwin yet. I'd like to see what he can do with his own recruits along with veterans like Stull, Nze and JB.
I do like wins against @isu, Loyola and Wright St., however.

Looking at it another way, this is what happens when you wait too long to "fix" something years after it broke. Sorry GoPanthersGo23, some of us, including me, easily keep getting hooked into the Jeter argument.
I pointed out my concern about PB's public persona in this thread, but don't get me wrong. I am certainly excited to see how things go under his direction when he has some of his players and more depth next year and beyond. Hopefully he can improve on the PR part.
But let's not look too far ahead. I also look forward to see what they can do in the HL tournament next week. This is always an exciting time of the year!

There wasn't a time I was at Goolsby's where Jeter or LaVall didn't come talk with us for at least a bit. In fact, after LaVall met us after the first game, he always made it a point to come see us for a few minutes.

Glad to excite some people. ,A. coach must have the trust of AD. Baldwin has that! Kellerman has it with soccer. Cofield has it with track. Jeter did not have the trust needed to succeed. An AD manges the money and direction of an entire program. Jeter lost sight of that having gone through so many changes. Baldwin is a good coach and if he sticks around as long as Jeter I think the program will enter a new era. Let's get out of the Horizon. Let's get ranked consistently in the top 50. Put fans in the seats. Stop being anti everything. I enjoyed this season as much as any. The team was often overmatched but competed. I do not want to dwell on the past. The future is as bright as we make it. Dream! It is what sport is about.

Obviously your dreams are aided by powerful pharmaceuticals. Back here in reality it's much more difficult to look at a car wreck and see a modern art sculpture.
(Not too hard to see who drove the car into the garbage truck, however. Unless you're the chancellor, I guess.)
On the bright side, our athletic department doesn't need to count any more imaginary fans this year. So there's that.
But no matter: Harold, after some deep inhalation I am sure that your memories of the UWM Panther Arena, its crowds packed to the rafters in thrall of our mighty winning teams during the glorious two years following the purge, will be just marvelous! After all, anything is possible when a coach has the trust of the future of college athletics!
Are you selling any of that stuff, by the way?
