Incredibly, this is one of only two remaining home games. And it's only JANUARY!!! After Saturday, Marquette only has two home games left and the Big East regular season ends March 3rd. Odd for sure. That said, UWM will never finish the regular season at UWM Panther Arena as the Tripoli Shrine Circus holds that time. |

Yet another reason that our AD voting for Motor City Malaise was incomprehensible. In the 13 seasons of the Horizon League tournament played on campus sites, we earned home games in ten of them! For our fans, the opportunity to see a tournament, win-or-stop playing game at the Arena was priceless!
And I just checked -- in 9 of those 10 years those games were in March! In the other year the game was on February 28th!
This year Panther basketball ends for the home fans on February 16th! Incomprehensible!

Tripoli books this almost a year in advance. Can you have the Horizon League start scheduling sooner? Or convince the arena to not take any bookings until after Labor Day when the schedule was announced? Best thing to do is not support the circus in any way. Doesn't help in the short term but it's the start of a longer term effort. Last year's circus was not good for the Shriners. In fact, this year's circus is Fri-Sun, not Thurs-Sun like in years past. |

Milwaukee is a big favorite in this game at kenpom. He predicts a 74% chance of victory and a 7 point final margin. GB has won its last two games easily, but they were at home, against CSU and YSU, so take that for what it's worth.
Green Bay is currently ranked 286th (out of 351 D1 teams). Astonishingly, that means they are only the fifth worst team in this league.

Panthers haven't lost consecutive home games in conference and GB hasn't won a road game in conference. Hopefully that stays true tomorrow night.
