Over on the Wisconsin board there is a lot of speculation that most of their junior class will leave. I find that hyperbolic, but it's worth noting that PB would be somewhat familiar with those young men. And I haven't paid much attention to NU this year other than to note they have had a very disappointing year compared to their hopes, so maybe there are players there as well who could be in the transfer market?

To come here? Are you high?
"I am going to leave Wisconsin or Northwestern mom."
"where are you going, son?"
"UW-Milwaukee. They draw about 100 people per game and practice in the shared gym with the indoor track team and guys playing dodgeball. It's awesome. I can't wait!"

What's Van Vliet's situation again? He lost a year of eligibility but can gain it back later like Ricky Franklin?

I think that’s true but it strikes me as more likely he’ll just go back to Europe. I think it had to do with playing in some hybrid pro/amateur league before he started college. The guy has skill (and length) but it obviously hasn’t clicked for him at UW.
Not that I think it’s either likely they would leave UW or come to UWM but I’d take Charlie Thomas or Alex Ilikainen in a heartbeat.

Is this like Jordan Hill leaving Wisconsin for Seattle last year? The Seattle program who hasn't ever been above .500 in the WAC, hasn't been to the NCAA Tournament since the height of the Vietnam War AND averaged the same attendance as Milwaukee last year?

I was leaning toward Nze when I initially made this post. At the present time, it's not even close! Nze in a runaway!!!

If he could just hit his free throws. I'd take 60%.

Nze - 3 straight double doubles. First Panther to do so in 10 years.

Bryce was so much better than anyone else on the court tonight that I have to think real hard about who else mattered. Maybe Manny Patterson. Maybe Brock Stull.
Anyway, I'm beginning to feel like the stoners who gave Kramer a lift in their van partway to L.A.
"Stay with us, Nze! We need you, Nze!"

Another outstanding recruiting job by Rob Jeter and Chad Boudreau and co. Bryce has high D1 quickness and athleticism for a man his size, and is rapidly developing the skill to go with it. That's why I said he could play fifteen leagues above the Horizon. There are multiple schools in the MVC (currently 17 leagues above the HL!) where he would be the best big man on the team. I'm not sure he wouldn't be starting or at least getting major minutes at Wisconsin right now!

We also got lucky he broke his foot as a Sr. in high school. Probably wouldn't be here otherwise.
Also, I'll credit the last 2 staffs on having him ready to play important minutes as a freshman and sophomore.

Credit to Jordan and Baldwin for teaching up a big man, I dont think Jeter would be getting this play out of him honestly.

Know what you are saying Dunne Deal but on the other hand Rob did coach up Anthony Hill big time.

Anthony Hill, Marcus Skinner, Kyle Kelm, Matt Tiby...
I agree that Coach Baldwin is doing a nice job with Bryce (and with Brett, too), but Coach Jeter did a tremendous job both coaching and recruiting Panther big men. It remains to be seen if Baldwin can recruit quality big men to Milwaukee. We have no data.
