Seriously though, the voting is turning in our favor in a big way. We're about 30 away from taking the 5th-place spot in the Midwest, which along with it comes a spot on the front page of The Tournament's website. We're also about 60 away from being Top 10 nationally, but I'm less excited about that specifically because it's just a selling point.
I think if we can sneak into the #3 spot in the Midwest, we'll be able to easily drum up local sports media coverage - we'll be able to sell a possible "Dream Game" for local hoops fans that never got to see the golden era Panthers take on the Golden Eagles.
Depending on when that happens, it could be enough to propel both teams to #1 and #2 in the Midwest. If it becomes a voting war, we could end up #1 and #2 in the country for voting - which would be a HUGE stick towards getting NEXT year's TBT Midwest Regional to be hosted in Milwaukee.
