Yeah, well, one would be willing to play us, and the other probably wouldn't.
"Hey, you want to use our pre-season tourney slot to go to Milwaukee, play in front of 50 people (45 of whom are employees or contractors...oops I mean "boosters") against a last place team in a worse conference? Plus we may just get a home and home with them and a game vs. MSOE or Concordia WI!"

Please refer to the "Elephant in the room" thread to read about how great of a fan and previous supporter of Milwaukee athletics Nighthawk was (and how irrelevant the current fans and supporters are) before it gets reposted here. I'd prefer to minimize the hijacking of threads. There, I saved him the trouble. In all seriousness though, I get what you guys are trying to accomplish. And it's not that I don't agree or disagree... I just think there are more important people to "attack" with the propganganda than the 5 active posters during the offseason on this messageboard. What, if anything, do we know about next seasons shedule? I know that we probably are not playing Bucky because we are not a 300+ RPI team. Actually I have heard that UW hasn't ruled out giving Milwaukee a buy game. At least it would give the kids a chance to see what an actual crowd looks like at a basketball game. It would be the last one they saw all season in all probability. |

I finally return to this remnant of a discussion board after a year away, thinking there may be some actual info regarding next year's schedule, and all we have is "UW hasn't ruled out giving Milwaukee a buy game" and some MTE we magically have funds to offer competitive guarantees to participate in?
Someone has to have more info than that..

In reading how the exempt tourney works, it looks like the round robin event with those 3 teams, will get a 4th game out of it at home versus a non-D1 school. |
