I like the shot clock rule. But in regards to the fouls, why not just switch to quarters if you're gonna do this?

I like the shot clock rule. But in regards to the fouls, why not just switch to quarters if you're gonna do this? My guess is they don't want to get rid of one official/TV timeout per half. Networks must pay the bills.

I'm one who always watches the NIT. I love the fact they are trying to get rid of the one and one. Stupid rule. The foul is on the defense but you must make the first to get the second shot. That doesn't add up.
By way, I don't hear the b****ing those who didn't like the shot clock, one less timeout and semi-circle rule from couple of years ago. That right, they left this board. Scoring is up. the game is more pleasing to the eye to watch. Way less rock fights.

the 1 and 1 allows the chance for the defense to in effect get a stop and mount a comeback with a miss and a rebound. with the guaranteed 2, You will see differences in the game. good free throw shooting teams will have an advantage, imo.
