Rob Edwards scored a career-high 32 points and Cleveland State never trailed in a 76-65 victory at Oakland on Monday night at The Blacktop at The O'rena.
•The lead reached 10 points (56-46) on an Edwards three-point play with just over eight minutes to play, but Oakland responded with two straight baskets to pull within six (56-50).
•CSU answered with a quick 5-1 run to extend the lead back to 10 points (61-51) and Oakland would not threaten the rest of the night.

Wow... I needed that! Sloppy sloppy game but damn does it feel good to get a win.
Nze is going to be an all conference player for us. His ability to score the ball in the post is unbelievable.

I was wrong about Jeremy Johnson. He is finding his stride as a someone who is getting more minutes. You called it! |

Very fun game to watch (at least in the second half) and it was great to see two of our freshmen (Jeremy Johnson and Bryce Nze) playing very well tonight, keeping the Panthers in the game when it was looking bleak.
