Great....they will no miss any classes with a hangover. And just maybe we will get a huge influx of homeless people in to warm up and get loaded on the cheap.

Someone sends Mark Belling an email on Monday about the $2 beer. Boy, the hate is getting out of control. Can we please not leave out for the emails that, THE STUDENTS ARE ON BREAK! This isn't a Bucks or Brewers game. I don't care about the limit of drinks at those events. Admirals do this and there is no problems. Sorry Mark Belling, the Arena won't be trashed because of $2 beer with the 1,000 fans in attendance on Thursday night.

I'm not bothered by the promotion. Do what you can to get people in the door. It's not like there are going to be enough people there to create a problem anyways. Students still get their bus ride, so if any of them are drinking they'll get a ride right back to campus. It should be noted that Cleveland State's $1 beer, $2 food items and $6 ticket promotion has not resulted in a noticeable increase in ticket sales. This is anecdotal evidence at best, so the promotion could work. It would be nice if NACMA put together a database of promotions and what their effect was on ticket sales across Division I. |
