Watched them beat Marquette in person last year. Really solid team, surprised they are 4-4. Evan Bradd's and Amanze Egekeze will be tough match ups for us.

Milwaukee 56, Belmont 62. Milwaukee falls just short of a victory, Bell & Johnson both finish with 10pts.
Boy, do the Panthers miss Brett's size and strength.

"I was really pleased with the entire group in terms of how we started the game with great energy," coach LaVall Jordan said. "I thought we played with a lot of passion tonight. Our bench came in and provided a spark. We just have to consistently get that effort – we are cleaning up the details and there are areas we need to grow in."
"Tonight was a good bounce-back and a great response and we are proud of that," Jordan said. "They are a good team, give Belmont credit."

Not at all discouraged. I think we are going to see a fair amount of "moral victories" this year which frankly is ok. We are really shorthanded and a work in progress. Holy cow though...talk about crickets chirping....the "crowd" was remiscent of Baker Field House days.

Hopefully we're not that short-handed in the frontcourt again this year. To paraphrase Dan Patrick, "If Studer is the answer, I don't want to know the question!"
