Dear Panther Basketball Fan,
I couldn’t be more proud or excited to be writing my first letter to you as the head men’s basketball coach of the Milwaukee Panthers! It truly is an honor to be leading this program and I look forward to building on the proud tradition here and helping Milwaukee consistently compete for Horizon League championships.
I am thrilled to be back in the Horizon League, which holds a special place in my heart. After a four-year playing career at Butler University, where we made four trips to the postseason, including a NCAA Second Round appearance in 2001, I was fortunate enough to spend four seasons on the staff at my alma mater, first as the director of basketball operations, then as an assistant coach.
As passionate fans, you are an integral part of our success. The energy you bring to games is uplifting to our team and helps them fight through adversity. I can promise you that we will compete as a team on a nightly basis and will represent this great University with dignity and class in everything we do - on the court, in the classroom and in the community. Lastly, we will be passionate about daily improvement, embrace the process and work diligently to get better. So much time, effort and sacrifice goes into being a winner and we will do all that it takes to be a champion.
We want you to leave each game at Panther Arena saying “that was fun to watch,” and wanting to come back for the next game.
Season ticket deposits for the 2016-17 campaign are now being accepted by calling (414) 229-5886 or emailing uwmtix@uwm.edu.
I hope to see you at Panther Arena this winter and look forward to meeting you at some offseason events before the season officially tips off in November.
Go Panthers!
Sincerely,
LaVall Jordan
