Just want to start a new thread since the direction of many of the current ones are going so far off topic. Here's where we stand as a program at this time:
1. We have hired LaVall Jordan - an engaging, energetic young coach that understands how to put out a positive message about the players and program. He also understands the importance of marketing a program in, get this, a POSITIVE manner, in order to help it grow. From a basketball standpoint his vision for the way he wants to play will be entertaining and more importantly allow us to compete consistently against higher profile schools in both non-conference and post-season tourney games.
2. Our AD's vision of being the next Butler/Gonzaga/Witchita St. is exactly what all of us would like to see happen with the program - become a perennial NCAA tournament team that isn't viewed as a mid-major - just a powerhouse basketball school.
The firing/hiring process is over - let's rally as a fanbase and spread the real message about who should watch their backs. MU, we're coming for you. UW we're coming for you. All of you arrogant Power 5 teams - we're coming for you too. Watch out for our Panthers.

I'll say I'm so to the dance, but I now figured out who pantherproud is by reading his post since he joined in late March and the story by Greg Matzek on Tuesday. After the Jeff Goodman tweet about the names for the next head coach, none where TJ. You keep on saying TJ names, when the board did not.
I would ask, as someone who will be getting my season-tickets next year, is not a Braun hater (but not a supporter as well)and loves the hire in LaVell Jordan, you are not helping your cause with many post. I'm very close at saying in whom you are.... You would be better served with your time to call season-ticket holder and having a heart to heart with them.

Sorry i'm confused. Who do you think I am? Unless your answer is a season ticket holder, alumni and long time fan of Panther basketball my guess is you are wrong. To be clear I absolutely love the hire of Jordan. I may have had no idea he was really a serious candidate, but I love the hire. I'm also not a Braun hater or supporter either - just want the program to move forward. But by all means - state who I am.

I for one am very pleased to hear that that the A.D. has a vision for the athletic program to succeed, and it's refreshing that the new coach has good things to say and wants to do the things necessary to win. That's so much better than all the other athletic departments who aspire to mediocrity and mismanagement. Good thing that is cleared up.

That's so much better than all the other athletic departments who aspire to mediocrity and mismanagement. So, Andy Geiger aspired to make UWM better?

So, Andy Geiger aspired to make UWM better? You missed my point. You missed my point too. The whole point of this thread is to get the focus back on the players we cheer for. We had the talent to win 25 games last year and could get to that level this coming year. Time to rally behind the team and help them.

Indeed could have been 25 wins....we need to fix a few little things throughout eaxh game...one more made free throw...one less turnover...one more rebound....one good pass...one layup that falls. Im a firm believer that the little things in game add up to having a win or loss...we need that little cushion at the end of games. That was the difference in so many losses this past season. Easily correctable this coming year with this crew.

I completely agree. I'm hoping we see improvement this season in the minor details as you mentioned, especially near the end of games. First, the staff needs to keep this group together. We have the talent to be an NCAA tourney team, but need to get the team focused on improving their skills over the summer and away from the controversy.
