I want to do both. Win and sell tickets. I'm signing off now. I'll be supportive of our new coach and sitting at every homegame whoever it may be. You can bash whoever you want and pump up your ego. Just wish you all realized how much damage you are doing to the program and coaching search with your ignorant and childish approach to pr. Here's to hoping you never come to another uwm game. Yeah, not much hope of that. I'd say make sure your ears work so you can hear me, but I think we all know there's not much chance of you tuning me out this year. I like the mental gymnastics though! Fans don't trust athletic director, voice those concerns, that means the Panthers won't get a good coach. Sounds like...I dunno...every program in America will fail their next coaching search. Also sounds like someone is making excuses for the list that Goodman put out. So much Rob Jeter on that list. I like the list, because I think Rob Jeter is a good coach and I'm sure the next coach will get all the support he didn't get, so hopefully that means we'll be better. Doesn't sound like you like the list much at all, PantherProud. You know, with the fans hurting the search so much and all. |

So confused. Win and sell tickets....but only to people who agree with you....and Amanda Braun. So your approach to selliing tickets is to tell me, and anyone who may agree, even in part, with me, is to NEVER come back? And here I thought the new and improved terms of service on this board was to be cordial? EDIT: One other thing I am hoping you could clear up, PantherProud. You said that when Jeter was hired you stopped donating and gave up your season tickets...because you cared so much for the program and disagreed with the direction it was headed in. And now when people are stopping their donations and not renewing their season tickets, you are criticizing them for not supporting the program. Can you explain to all of us how that position is not self contradictory and just a bit hypocritical? |

1. I gave it 3 jeter years before giving up on him. 2. I haven't been critical of anyone for pulling their donations. Only critical of those that may a public scene of their disapproval. I may have stopped backing the program but I didn't go to twitter and ask for the program to burn and try to get the players on the radio to bash the program. Btw I love this list of candidates. Braun is doing a good job getting a replacement.

Why are we castigating pantherproud here? Because he doesn't like what Jimmy is doing on Twitter? Because he supports the group of coaches Braun is supposedly considering?
All I hear is "Jeter is gone, let's move on", but the defensiveness and reaction to anybody supporting Amanda Braun's search for the next coach speaks to the contrary. I understand what she did was idiotic and have said as much via Twitter and here. She hasn't been fired. She isn't going to be fired. I wish she were, but it's clear that isn't happening. Can't we move forward and actually have a conversation about the future? Instead we're trying to burn the program down to start over again. Instead we're starting fires all over here to promote the PantherU board. Instead we're alienating people we suspect belong to the AD. What are we trying to accomplish?
