No problem. All the amateur coaches here will tell you that all these guys are bums anyway who are just "fifth placers."

I understand that, but this is so no one has to dig through 4 pages of info to see the news.

Haha, fair enough.
Here's hoping for a hire good enough to bring everyone back.

So this is what the Apocalypse looks like... (to a Panther fanatic). I hope all the departed find greener pastures and at least remember with some fond memories their time at UWM. I really hope the new coach can pull off an amazing turnaround... It could take years. And even then, will it be better than the last 10 years? If the fan base (the players had no problem- and I SALUTE THEM)- can rise up and help the AD actually understand the importance and magnitude of the moves she/they make. I hope so. All we can do is hope- something has to eventually go consistently RIGHT with this program off the court in order for us to be a top 2 team, like we all want to be. Last, I'll say, but the way that Jeter's firing was handled was disrespectful and I hope Amanda personally apologized to him and his family- the players and the players families. If not, and she thinks this was handed totally according to high ethical standards, I don't know what to say or think for the future. Thank you- Coach Rob, Chris, JJ, JR, Matt, Jordan, Akeem, Austen.... (Jeremy, Alex, Brett, Scotty, Cody, Dan Studer?.... Good Grief Charlie Brown.). Thank you all on this here almost-always-surprising and well-written discussion board for making this all entertaining even if just as demoralizing. See you all at some games next year. The ceiling is high with this program I hear... I don't really know any of you. But I consider you my friends in Panther fandom. I hope Nighthawk's vision isn't too late, and the powers that be realize that a perennial powerhouse- even in the Horizon, MVC or A-10- is a huge asset to a Uni that has come a long ways in 20 years and has much bigger aspirations.. GO. PANTHERS. Man, it's been a long, strange trip. We will have ample "playing time" to offer last-minute recruits, that is for sure. :/

It should be pointed out that none of these players have 100% decided to leave.

Your question makes utterly no sense -- kind of like our AD's decision to throw the program into utter turmoil for no good reason. But if you feel qualified, 97, go on record like others have done. You didn't like the coach, that we know. How about the players? Fifth placers?
I think some people are belatedly realizing that when our AD decided to dump a coach and staff that our players loved like they were a tub of bathwater, well -- you know the rest.

There goes the best UWM point guard who ever lived ... He hasn't officially announced he was leaving. This was pulled from the Rosiak article that said the guys would wait to make a decision.

I think some people are belatedly realizing that when our AD decided to dump a coach and staff that our players loved like they were a tub of bathwater, well -- you know the rest. Well, I've been on record for over a decade on this board. I think peoples' personal relationships with Jeter have allowed them to cloud their assessment of his record as the head coach. That's human nature, and it would be nice if many here admitted it. Nonetheless, I think the talent he assembled this season was as good as it's been since he got here. So the 10-8 season in conference play was absolutely not getting it done. How would they be any better next year losing Tiby and Panoske without going the hated Bruce Pearl, JUCO route (the same route used to procure Tiby, Johnson, Boyle, Eayrs, etc). So, no, the AD did the right thing by moving on. If your loyalties lie with the former head coach over the university you claim to love, that's your problem.
