Watching the game (again) right now. Trying to find the fouls on Matt and Jordy. Still looking ... And how many fifth fouls did Vashil commit? Three? Four? Four. He elbowed Matt in the face with 3:07 left in overtime. No call!

I wish we could swap Arians' and Tiby's remaining eligibility.

Although it worked out in the end, why the hell did we not use our 3 fouls to give at the end of regulation? I would have lost my mind if Valpo would have gotten a bucket there.
Oh and Cody knocks down back to back 3s and then takes a seat on the bench while Austin is just chucking away.
This team is too talented to be .500 in league. Just mind boggling.

His performance this year has been a massive liability yet Jeter just let's him chuck shots up that are simply embarrassing. I think it was the home game against Detroit where his shots were so bad the players on the bench were doing face palms.

Just looked at applicants for UWGB job after Wardle left for Bradley, Dane Fife, 36 year old assistant under Tom Izzo with head coaching experience, Gary Grzeck, head coach at SNC, endorsed by Tony Bennet. There were other good candidates for that job as well. I am thinking The Panthers get out coached, out recruited with Jeter. This team should have been playing for first place last night. There should be 5K in the stands every game. Discussion at halftime with frustrated fans indicated to me change is needed. These were total strangers who feel an excitement for Panther Basketball. I wish that we could have gotten together after the game to express our fatigue after watching poor decisions by the coach. You have to press with a minute to go, be aggressive we had fouls to give, fans cheering, referees need to be forced to make calls in that environment. Two dribbles and a three is launched. I do not get it anymore.

3 sketchy calls I can think of that definitely swayed the game: 1. Jordy's phantom 4th foul call 2. Matt's "malicious" basketball move elbow that got a Flagrant 3. The crazy play that looked like over and back on Valpo but ended in a foul on Cody
This isn't me saying we lost because of these plays, but they for sure factored in the result. Tough loss...but we seem to be used to these by now. This game gives me some confidence in the tourney on a neutral court vs Valpo if we get to face them in the Semis.

Enjoyed the game and the atmosphere.
I honestly never thought the Panthers were going to win so in my eyes it wasn't a tough defeat. Sadly, I pin that on coaching.

I fully expect the Joe to be a Milwaukee friendly atmosphere Monday night. You'll have two bus loads of Panther fans and 4 to 5 thousand Oakland fans that want nothing more than to see Valpo lose. Hopefully we can have the Horizon league's two best student sections band together before facing off in the championship. Though I'm not sure beating Milwaukee would be any easier than Valpo. Feel free to come on to the Oakland board if you guys have any questions about things to do in Detroit. Should be a fun weekend.

Wow, a four-page story in the latest Sports Illustrated on Valpo basketball, with photos of the game and everything!
It's a good thing the Crusaders didn't lose. If they had, it would have somewhat modified the narrative.
It was much better for the story that they prevailed.
