Jordy got a shoutout and some highlights on Sportscenter from WI's own John Anderson. He called us "University of Milwaukee" but later called us UWM. So.

With the win tonight, the Panthers have achieved at least 18 victories for the 19th time in program history and the 12th time since 1990-91.
Six of those seasons have come under the present coach.
Congratulations to Rob on his 100th career Horizon League regular-season victory.

As far as I can tell, Jet joined Marc Mitchell (twice), Tony Miller, Dwyane Wade, Josh Gasser and Kaylon Williams as the only players in state D-1 history to post a traditional triple-double.
Congratulations, Jordy!

My research now shows 10 all-time. The 7 you mention plus three by Green Bay. Alec Brown (15 pts/10 reb/10 blks on Nov. 23, 2013) Javier Mendiburu had two (10/10/10 against YSU Feb. 5 and 17pts/12reb/10 asst vs. WSU Feb. 28, 2004) Not sure how I missed the 2 by Mendiburu, I sent out an email to HL SID's when Jordy almost had one at Minnesota.

Thanks for posting, Chris! Keep up the great work! Because the omitted ones were by Green Bay players, we'll let it slide. Completely.

The 5 a.m. Sports Center this morning followed up their coverage of the Lakers vs. Bucks and Giannis' triple double with a nice highlight package of Jordan and his 3-D. No sound because I was at the gym but it looked like a really nice segment.

Really enjoyed the game at our arena last night!! Couple random thoughts:
<Matt Tiby is really an outstanding player <Jordan Johnson is a heck of an addition to the program - great find there!! <Brock Stull can be on my team any day. Looks like a basketball player!! <Kind of intrigued with Tyler. Never really saw him before and just watching him last night a bit intrigued by his length and quickness. Really also seems to have good passing instincts and moves well without the ball. What is the scoop on him. What kind of an upside does he have. Lastly, went to my first game Saturday vs Cleveland State. Enjoyed it so much went back last night. I frankly took a year off but definitely going to renew my multiple season ticket package next year. Steve

Welcome back, Steve!
FYI, this team figures to finish in the top 3 all time in program single-season scoring average and its point guard may be the best pure setup man in the country.
Matt could finish his career with over 1,350 points and 750 rebounds if the team makes a deep league tournament run.
Exciting things are happening here!

Attendance-1688 Smallest home crowd of the season. Too bad, people missed out on a team beatdown of YSU. Johnson- 10 pts, 10 boards and 10 assists and some sliick dance moves

I particularly liked the picture on the cover of the program last night.
A post defender with four arms is hard to defeat...

After attending games since 2000 and missing 0 to 2 home games every year, this was my first game of the year. (Somehow having a 5-month old leads to a lot less free time....who knew.)
I was impressed with the camaraderie the team has, as evidenced by the starters reacting to the play by the bench players. Sure, it's easier to do when you're up 30, but that was great to see.
Thankfully, the wife (who could care less about basketball) is letting me go to the Valpo game also. Can't wait until the kid is bigger and can go to games with me.

MU Panther,
Ok...here goes:
<General frustration with unmet potential largely result of lack of commitment by university. As an alum of UWM I am most proud of the tremendous progress made in academic areas. I am not saying we are University of Chicago but on the other hand we do not have to be a "jock school" to do better in athletics. I still believe the two are complimentary and one does not take away from the other. Lifts all boats!!! <The inconsistency most exemplified by the turnover in AD's and the move back to the Klotsche. I still can not get over the Geiger thing. The money we paid that guy and he had no clue and damaged the program. <Conflicted over current AD. Amanda will forever have my gratitude for moving back to the arena and the naming rights as well as at least trying to address the baseball situation. On the other hand I worry about the lack of overall program profile and buzz in the community and media. Also corporate sponsorship. Not sure if Amanda is going to maximize much less meet our potential. She needs to be establishing relationships with media and in the business community. Not sure the personality and acumen is there. She maybe is a solid administrator , don't know but support for the horrible conference tourney format makes me wonder if she even knew about those prior capacity crowds in our arena which were special. I also see Paul Plinske raising tons of money and getting things done and here only thing I see is maybe a new locker room due only to Admirals maybe coming and not much else. *Game experience at arena still so lacking...do not see business groups, school groups, so much could be done. Concessions spotty and the so called new gift shop is poor. At least under the old setup there was more Panther merchandise. Shocked when I saw the other night and thought, really , this is it? Promotions atgame flat. Took grandson to so called kids day on Saturday and basically nothing going on in that regard. Frisbee toss? Horrible..the arena looks great but the atmosphere even more dull than before...miss Brian Morgan. *Academic ban - give Rob a ton of credit for way they have responded but ridiculous that this was allowed to happen to begin with *Despite turnover in AD's and lack of support from top administration stil feel Rob is not the best guy for the program. Need someone with more personality...and a more exciting style of play. Very frustrating...inconsistent and often boring product.. good man. high character, and that counts for a lot but product is stale.
Now, all this being said I have to get over all of this because bottomline I love UWM and have to support the program come heck or high water though the move back to the Klotsche had me apoplectic and on suicide watch!!! Basically, I burned out because I cared too much. The break has been good and I am back. That's it I guess. Steve
