Unbelievable.
We screwed this up by falling behind by such a large margin early but that was horrendous officiating down the stretch.
I will never understand how some officials can be that awful.
And no I am not talking about the call at the end. That was just a dumb play.

What was talked about during that last time out? Were we listening?

The Officials screwed them in the first half, and us in the 2nd. So can't really put this on the refs. We played a great 2nd half. Seriously don't understand what JR was thinking. That's a middle school type mistake, not a 5th year senior in college mistake. Really disappointed.

That call doesn't get made in a P5 game. It just doesn't.
I have never seen a team this resilient take so many nail biting losses. I hope the guys are storing this up and are ready to deal out some Karma in Detroit.

That call doesn't get made in a P5 game. It just doesn't. It definitely does, even as a UWM fan that was clearly a foul.

There are 50 interactions each game worse than that that don't get called. JR didn't even impede the guy from advancing the ball. I'm not arguing there may have been minor contact. I'm saying that in a tie game, last few seconds, with huge conference implications, no ref makes that call in the P5.

Watched replay of game knowing that it was a loss. Painful and heart wrenching to see such a loss. The Panthers are better than Wright State. Let us not focus on a bad call at the end of the game. In many conference games be it the Big Ten, Big East that is not a foul. Missed free throws and once again points taken away on ticky tack fouls where a three would change the nature of the game. I have seen it all year and it happens in this league all the time. They don't allow the the dish. I would rather lose by missing a legitimate three than by players missing a free throw. Of course we want a foul when a player is driving to the basket but when he is dishing to the corner give the passer a break a watch the the play develop. It promotes bad defense not good offense. In no other league do I see this call so often. It is called the quick whistle. The league has definitely gone eastward. Valpo and Wright State are not that good. They get the calls like they are the Spurs or the Warriors, or as if Michael is on their team. Sour grapes, maybe, but this team deserves three to four more wins except for bad calls or bad coaching. My heart goes out to the players. Bring on the conference tournament at that neutral site known as Detroit. Proud of these kids given all the close losses they have endured.

As long as the guy was going up strong with the ball, I have no problem with the call.

The thing that ticks me off is we should be 21-2 & a top 25 team. And those 6 bad losses we had were by a combined 14 points...

Wright State shot 70% in the first half against us, and it's not the first time in the last two games that an opponent has shot that well in a 20-minute period.
Between the second half of the Green Bay game and the first half of the Wright State game, UWM opponents were 41-57 from the field. That's incredible, and any team that concedes that much does not honestly deserve to win.

I believe that our eight losses are by a combined 34 points ... or 4.25 points per defeat.
I'm pretty sure that would be a program record.
(Well, the 1940-41 Green Gulls were 16-0, so their average margin of defeat was 0).
