Great crowd of alumni and students, if it could happen on a regular basis Jeter may be able to stick around, hats off to Akeem for the hustle play of the year. The Waukegan Connection was awesome tonight. GB appears in good hands but you need bigs to make it to the dance. Fun night of basketball.

Had a great time not just because we won but because I sat next to Dun Deal and Spirit of Bruce. Those guys are hilarious. Haven't enjoyed a game that much since the Sweet 16 run

Darner is a great coach and plays a fun style. Hopefully the crowd keeps up, I think everybody had fun tonight!

I was saying that about Green Bay in fall that their style of play with Linc Darner as coach will be a fun style of play.
Great game again at the arena. More importantly the Panthers won in front of a big crowd. Give them a reason to keep coming back.
Thank god, Springs got that rebound after chocking at the free throw line with seconds left. Had a bad feeling Green Bay could have broken our hearts with the game winning three.

You know, I think that he might have been worth four points against Oakland.
Oh well, that ship has sailed. Onward and upward!

A UWM alum living a stone's throw from Green Bay ... and it's blacked out on ESPN3. God bless the Horizon League. I'm guessing you don't have TWC? I have this little thing called DIRECTV.

Hack, how many Panthers games have been available this season over DIRECTV? Have there been any?

Hack, how many Panthers games have been available this season over DIRECTV? Have there been any? We only get the games if they are on an ESPN channel or Channel 24. So far that's only been the Madison and Oakland games.

Haven't enjoyed a game that much since the Sweet 16 run Glad you had fun, we sure did, and those jersey chaser GB fans in front didnt. All in all, poor defense, too many times did we just ole them to the basket, thats not going to cut it. Also, I didnt like the Austin to the bench move when he was on fire. Let him miss, then sit him for a few. Springs was off from the line, just a fluke in my book, but man that is hustle to get the steal!

What a barnburner of a game! I hope the Satin Jacket Society brought their crying towels with them on the trip, because with an ending like that, they sure needed them! I hope the team gives themselves and us a little more breathing room when we play up there, now that they have some familiarity with the new GB style of play.

That was an exciting game somehow wrapped around a terrible defensive performance by our team. In the end our superior talent and some well drilled principles let us escape. It sure helped to have the best player on the floor (not to mention in the state) in Jordan Johnson. And Akeem's heads up play at the end was fabulous.
Darner's racehorse style is the stuff of small colleges. Even Bo Ryan won championships that way at that level. At the D1 level it only takes you so far. I was extremely disappointed our team didn't cut the legs out from under GB by dictating tempo better. We obviously have the players to do that, but we got outworked and our players too often fell into trying to match GB, which is a huge temptation for college kids. As it happens, we have the horses offensively, and we won -- barely. But why let the other team dictate how the game will be played? That's just not smart.
Don't get me wrong, it was an exciting finish and I had a lot of fun. It's always a good thing to beat your archrival, and doing it in front of a fantastic crowd is all the better. But if we play that way in GB we'll lose by a dozen and deserve it. Dictate a measured tempo and Green Bay won't stay with us.
One last thing -- one of the best rivalry games in the league, on a Friday night, and the game telecast is stuck on TWC? Ridiculous.

Happy that the players and coaches got to perform in front of a crowd like that.
That crowd and atmosphere is my goal for this program. I would be thrilled with an energetic 5,000 each night. I have no delusions of selling the Panther Arena out.
We can recruit with a crowd like last night. We can have a true home court advantage with a crowd like last night. A crowd like that can be the difference in a close game.

Well, I guess people should get Time Warner Cable to see the Panthers play.
