I think it will be very important to control the pace. Oakland got into a footrace with YSU and it burned them. I doubt YSU has the discipline to handle a measured tempo.

This game and Saturday's game at Cleveland are both second halves of women's-men's double headers, so the starting time for the men's games will depend on how long the women's games take.
The Panther women play at Youngstown State at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, and at Cleveland State at noon on Saturday. Both games on Thursday will be broadcast on ESPN3. The women's game on Saturday will be on TWC Sportschannel; the men's game will be on ESPN3. The Panther women's radio broadcasts are on AM 920.

Oh baby, I love these games where you have no idea what the starting time will be!
I especially love it when they space the starting times out by 1 hour, 45 minutes when there's no way on God's green earth that they can finish any game in an hour and a half!
It all brings me back to my sportswriting days and the high school regionals. Ugh!

I had this pegged as a win but it may be a little tougher then I thought.
They looked good against Oakland.
Hopefully we can get to 2-1.

They've got a very different look without Bobby Hain. It's interesting.

This game will be all about Jordan Johnson controlling the pace. Slow them down. They are 51st in the country in tempo. Hold them to our pace and they will be way out of their comfort zone.
And defend the 3 line. Like Wright, they are good from deep. We can't let that happen again.

This will be a tough game, as it always seems to be at the Beeghly Center. Hopefully we don't jack up too many 3s early that help lead YSU out on the break because if we do that, we could be in an early hole once again. I like Milwaukee in a close one, but we need AA to show up and hit some shots to get us going!

Let's give AA a mental break and bring him off the bench. Quan is a baller!

Stay the course. JayQuan is a great changeup and we need him as our secondary point guard to give Jordan a few minutes too. Also, Austin actually got some important rebounds for us in the last game, and we are simply much bigger when he's on the court. His shooting will come around.
So again, for tonight: control the pace, defend the three line... and work the post. We are such a great free throw shooting team that we have to take advantage of that skill to be as successful as we want to be. The way to do that is to work the post. Play inside out on offense.

I hope that the women's game goes six overtimes.
That will give me a chance to catch some of the men's game!

Hey, can someone give me a link to Rosiak's preview of the YSU game in the JS?

This game couldn't start sooner...I got off work early and have my mirror technology in HD ready! I'd like to see a post presence since YSU has height and it will be a battle down low, which I'm confident we can win. We need to be patience, use the shot clock, and find our openings. Let's go Milwaukee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
