WSU has better athletes than they've had in the past. That being said our on the ball defense is a huge liability.

I agree that the crowd seemed bigger than that. Aside from the fact that there were only about 10 in the student section, the rest looked more full than the other UWM games I've attended at the arena the last three years. I got there half an hour before the game and had to wait in a long line for tickets.
It was a crazy game...I was about to leave if we got behind by twenty, and before you knew it things got very exciting. Our free throw shooting really hurt us. Austin continues to take ill advised shots. Our defense seemed terrible most of the game, but Wright State also really seems like they can shoot. Hope this wakes up and we get on a roll.

No shame in losing to Wright State. But we have to win these games if we're gonna take the next step.

No need to sugar coat it.
This was a terrible loss.
The biggest thing this team needs to learn is that it can't fall behind by double digits all the time and expect their late second half surge to always bail them out as it has a few times this season.

Extremely disappointing loss. Would trade ten wins over Wisconsin and Minnesota to get this one back. This is one of the craziest things I have heard!! Our 1 win over Wisconsin has got us attention, people talking about us, attendance has gone up. Can't imagine what 10 wins over Wisconsin would do for our program. Meanwhile, the outcome of this ONE GAME against WSU, won't make a difference at all in the long run.

Exciting game. However, in the end, a bad loss at home. Help defense was horrible. Everyone needs to know where their man AND the ball are. I know there's a long way to go, but right now, unless something changes, they are not a Horizon League contender.

Only two teams in the HL i'm okay with us losing too at home is Oakland & Valpo. But very correct about the 2nd part. This and the SD "loss" hurt.

5 losses by a total of 18 points. This team is a lot better than we're giving them credit for.

I didn't see the game, so it's so hard to comment.
It looks like the team made an inspired comeback from a seemingly insurmountable deficit, but still I hate seeing us lose, especially at home.
The good news is that the game doesn't mean as much with the neutral-site league tournament format in play.

The comeback was one of the best times I had at a home game, it's too bad they couldn't get a win. I love Tiby, but what I don't understand is why he waits until 7 minutes left to turn it on. He had what, like 2 points in the first half??? Also, McCloud is showing he is going to be a great player, I am really excited about him. There are times I fear he will be too good leave to go to Michigan State or something

I didn't see the game, so it's so hard to comment. . Did you see the South Dakota game? 1st half, poor defense and too many three's. JJ sat the bench. 2nd half, better energy on defense, feed the post. Comeback from double-digits. Crowd was into the game. Overtime. Fell down in the overtime. Comeback. Heartbreaking loss. Nevermind seeding in Detroit. Must win at home and give a reason for people to be coming back.

I was at the game: defensive rotations were awful; leading to many wide-open three point looks that were canned by WSU.
The unforgiveable aspect of the game: it took Jeter until the 10:54 mark in the 2nd-half (17-pt deficit) to finally call a defensive timeout and adjust the defensive strategy (pressure WSU).
I did not attend one game last year and one thing has never changed with him: he flat out does not coach in-game! You guys can blast me for my comments, but when you observe opposing coaches in-game versus our staff and head coach, we are outclassed in every game.

I was glad and surprised that the Panthers did pressure. I hope you keep coming to more games!

It seems to me that this may be the most important factor for the rest of the year: To locate the Austin Arians from the 2014 Horizon League and NCAA tournaments. That guy is gone. His increase in muscle has significantly decreased his athletic ability. Too slow to stay in front of guys on defense and doesn't explode to the rim on offense. He used to flush alley oops as a freshman. Now he can barely dunk the ball. Not sure why he bulked up so much.
