Everyone knows what Wright State is going to do: try to put gum in the spokes. Jet and Friends need to set a faster tempo and start hitting shots early. In order for the Panthers to feel at home, this game needs to be in the high 70s or 80s. LET'S ROCK! Games are won and lost based on relative score, not total number of points. Efficiency > tempo in this regard. A 36-32 win = a 92-91 win. For me personally there is utterly no difference. But I suspect this game will be played in the sixties for us and, I hope, the fifties for WSU. Wright is very good at not fouling, which would take away one of our greatest strengths -- free throw shooting. I think our focus today has to be defensive. Make WSU take tough twos instead of threes and they will have a hard time out scoring us -- no matter what the score is. |

No band for the first conference home game. Nothing like taped music of your fight song in your home arena. Nice to see the university is all in for men's basketball.

11 isn't much to come back from for this team but ultimately our defense will keep costing us games.
