I would encourage all Panther fans who have the time to write a quick email to Jeff & Gary over at JS to thank them for the article. It's very important that the media hears how much this coverage means to our program. It's more effective than pissing & moaning on a message board about what the column didn't include. |

It's not what the column didn't include -- it was a good column. I just don't excuse the JS for years of lazy or nonexistent coverage. I know this is all likely to be immaterial in a few years (if that) when the JS is a couple pages of local fishwrap around a USA Today insert like so many other Gannett papers.

Another fair question for Gary would have been "How can you expect us to draw casual fans when the local newspaper either ignores us entirely (you can't send a beat reporter to Notre Dame, 2 hours away -- really!!??) You get in a car with SRT4Driver behind the wheel? That's the only way I see you getting to UND in two hours hahaha |
