Twice. We got screwed twice on our home court. I would have chased the refs like a man possessed too.

From the sound of things, I'm really glad that a couple of guys held Rob back.
It really demonstrates how badly he wants to win.
I think he's coaching this year with a big chip on his shoulder. Good for him!

Panthers won this game. Twice. No doubt about it.
That said, they lost because they let South Dakota stay close after we took the lead. Gotta finish those teams. Foot to the damn floor.
Congrats guys on improving to 9-3. Go f*** yourselves, officials. We're practically visitors in our own f***ing gym.

Who took that shot? That has to be from a cellphone.
Yep. My voice was starting to fade tonight. Most yelling I've done at a game in a long time.
Total horsesh*t.
Should have been basket good. South Dakota ball with .4 left.
Total horsesh*t.

I'm not sure on the rule, but I believe a player can't just fall to the floor. That resulted in the Tiby travel. Didn't see the video, if he got pushed down.

The player can't just fall to the floor. That is a travel. Tiby was apparently trying to call a timeout, but I didn't see him try when it happened. A person can call a time out, but the referees need to see you do it. Regarding the last second shot, this was the timekeeper's screw up. The referees were just the ones who needed to clean up the mess. I don't know the college rule for this scenario, but there were three options: 1. Resume play from the point the clock mistakenly stopped (at 1.7 seconds). At this point, the ball was in the air on the first shot. With that being the case, play would have to be resumed with a jump ball (not sure who had the arrow) since there was no team control of the ball at the time. 2. Measure the time between when the clock mistakenly stopped to when the second shot was released to see if it occurred within 1.7 seconds. 3. (I believe this is the option the referees used) Measure the time between when the clock mistakenly stopped to when the Panthers controlled the rebound and resume play from that point. The refs were using a stop watch to review the play. I believe they measured the remaining time to be 0.4 seconds when the Panthers secured the rebound. If this was the case, I find it very unlikely the put-back was shot in time. This game was lost long before these plays. Other than for Tiby, who played with a lot of passion and determination, nobody else looked ready to play. Our defense was terrible with players not helping out when South Dakota would drive to the basket (knowing where your man and the ball are is grade school stuff) and we apparently thought we were playing against a team of 7 footers since our entire offense seemed to be run from outside the three-point line.

Using a very unscientific method I used a stopwatch app to measure the time from when the clock stops to when the ball is rebounded and the put back is made. I get more than 1.7 seconds. So in defense of the officials, it could be argued that the shot doesn't count. Don't blame the refs on this one, blame the timekeeper.

The explanation given by the officials did not match the speculation above. And did not make any sense.

I just watch the ending on espn3 of the 2nd OT. Tiby was trying not to fall to the ground and a South Dakota player #41 seemed to grab Tiby to foul him to stop the clock. Where was the foul call?

The explanation given by the officials did not match the speculation above. And did not make any sense. I did not hear an explanation. What was it? Regardless, I agree with gman2 that it is very doubtful he got off the shot in time in which case, the outcome would've been the same.
