Fitting Rob finally gets a win over his mentor in what could very likely be his last chance.
Some were saying "biggest regular season win" in program history. I can't agree with that. Biggest win as in "finally we took down our big brother" big and getting that monkey off their backs.
Beating a ranked Butler team in Indianapolis on a Clay buzzer-beater in 2002 showed that the program had arrived as a contender, IMO. That's still the biggest win in my eyes.
I'll say it's the biggest non-conference win in program history, especially if UW can somehow rebound and have a solid, NCAA tournament season.
I know it's #BadgerHateWeek for some of you, but if you really care about Milwaukee, you're rooting for UW on Saturday and the rest of the season ... if you want to be in play for a potential at-large.

The unhappiest coach in Wisconsin last night wasn't Bo Ryan -- it was WOJO! I can't wait to watch Bo do to MU what he did to us in 2004 just after losing to MU. The man knows how to get a team's attention.

Bill Johnson is going to be on 540 in a few minutes to talk Panthers basketball ... on MU's station.

Olson isn't on today so that explains it... ... and they are now talking fashion shows and ugly Christmas sweaters. It was good while it lasted.

Chad Boudreau in the post game said Jordan Johnson is tough, he will be fine.

This won't be talked about because it's not sexy, but it's only talked about when you fail at it. Panthers 22-27 81.5% FT & 14-16 in the 2nd half!

Best as I can tell from the front page photo in the Milw./journal-slantinel, the Badgers lost to some team wearing black, though I can't make out their faces.
A crushing loss for the home side!

one of the biggest wins in program history. yes this badger team isnt nearly as good as the great teams of 2014 and 2015, but a win is a win. Bucky will be fine they'll make the tournament as usual and win a game or 2. but what we should be commenting on is this- this Panther team could be the best team in UWM history and thats saying something considering the 2005 squad that made the Sweet 16.

Well this is certainly cause for celebration. I haven't logged in here in years, although I lurk to keep up to date with where the program is throughout the season and recruitment. In fact, didn't remember my login name or email address I logged in with back in the day so had to re-register.
But I can't stop thinking about 92, traveling to Mad-town for the game, losing voice, staying in some shoddy hotel on State St and dancing to Head Like a Hole by NIN after the game - until someone from State St threw a snowball in our window. And that Badger team had some talent on it too!
Congrats Coach Jeter and the boys, as well as the fans that are far less fair weather than myself. This is a well-deserved win for all involved!

A really good, fun win, and very happy for the kids for bragging rights purposes. I always prefer conference wins as more important. But I do hope this win will catch the average fan's attention and induce more fans, student and non-student alike, to come down to the Panther Arena to check us out, because it's going to be a very fun year.
It's the best basketball bargain in town, that's for sure.

I'm happy for this team, under Jeter's watch though, we need to keep in mind how they'll look great one game and flat the other. I hope this is the new trend and swagger for this team. GO Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
