Diener is just tearing it up as a freshman guard for his dad at Cedarburg averaging over 23 a game. He is going to be a BIG time recruit. I'm sure he's already on the radar of all the top schools in the nation. What a future.

I always love coaches' sons. That said it's hard to predict what level he will play in college. Some guys are just way ahead as high school freshmen, and then the other guys catch up. But I certainly hope he can follow in the path of some of his cousins.

According to Verbal Commits John Diener is going to UC San Diego. Didn’t see that one coming.

Anyone know what is up with John Diener? He is still listed on the San Diego roster. He hasn't played in a couple of years. Edit: He hasn't played in 3 of the last 4 years.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2021-22 Did not play.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2020-21 Opted out of participation due to COVID-19.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2019-20 CCAA All-Academic honoree ... Played in 13 games off the bench, scoring a season-high five points in a win at Saint Martin's (11/11).
AS A FRESHMAN AT DEPAUL IN 2018-19 Redshirt.
