I was at BW3's on Water St... Going totally insane, plus it was St. Patricks Day so the atmospehre was insane. Great memories. Beating BC to get to the Sweet 16 was unreal.

I was in middle school and got to stay in during recess and watch the game. Then my teacher kept the game on for the rest of regular class.
We pretty much stopped doing anything school wise near the end of the game.
Great memory!

In was in Sandburg Hall (North Tower), drinking copious amounts of beer while watching from my dorm bed. I had only been a Milwaukee student for two months at the time. This was the first full Panther game I ever watched, and from that day I have been hooked....

A senior in high school who had already been accepted to Milwaukee. Told people who were playing in NCAA Tournament pools in my school to take Milwaukee to the Sweet Sixteen. When I was the only one who did, they asked how I knew they would get there. I said, easy, they were a darn good team and I liked the matchups.

Missed out on Cleveland due to a stupid QPI Exam my Senior Year. The ND loss put Milwaukee on the map, but with this win, the program officially ARRIVED.

Stuck at work and telling my coworkers to please not tell me anything about the game, as I was recording it at home. Somehow managed to make it through the day without anyone blurting out the result and happily watched the entire game after getting out of work. I still feel like they were the 3rd best team that year (after UNC and Illinois). Too bad they had to run into one of those two teams before the final 4.

Woke up that day in Cleveland and turned on the TV.
TV newswoman: "We have a few St. Patrick's Day revelers with us here in Cleveland early this morning. Where are you gentlemen from?"
First of three young men, wearing festive attire, face painted black and gold and swaying just a bit. "Milwaukee! Hell, yeah!!!"
TV newswoman: "What are your plans for the rest of the day?"
Second of three young men, smiling blissfully: "NCAA Tournament, baby!!!"
TV newswoman: "Thanks for your time, guys. Have a great time here in Cleveland!"
Third of three young men: "Will you be joining us, Alison?"
Alison: "Ah, back to you in the studio, Jim!"

i watched the game from an ESPN Sportzone restaurant in Chicago with my family . we ate our meals while the game was on, and as the seconds ticked down we watched the players on the bench start to cry as they realized they were going to win.I very nearly began to cry myself. I was a junior at the time, majoring in history. i was taking a history of football class at the time and the teacher -Neal Pease- predicted we would lose against Alabama and then against BC. we gave him heck after we reached the Sweet 16, and he said 'i'm not making any more predictions'. It was a fun fun time.

I was at lunch in high school and they set a TV up so we could watch the game against Alabama. I just remember a barrage of three pointers and a double digit lead when lunch was over. I then had about a half hour of class and a half hour of study hall before my school day was over... one of the longest hours I can remember. My high school's team was playing in the state basketball tournament that day, so I took a bus there and got updates from somebody with a radio every minute or so. Needless to say, it was a very fun bus ride to Madison (and even more fun on the way home because my school's team won the game at state that day, too).
