prarie view A&M is 11-22 entering their title game. if they beat Texas Southern, they would have the most losses of any team ever to make the NCAA tournament-22. George Washington Made the tournament in 1961 despite winning just 9 games in regular season, they were 9-16. as.360 winning percentage. 12-22 would be worse than that I think-.352.

so we move up a line then, i think. we're right on the cusp of a 14 seed in my opinion. I don't think we do because we were ahead of Stony Brook anyway. Now we just remain ahead of a different champion.

Wow that's truly awful lol Didn't Coppin State make it a few years back with like 20 losses. I believe they have the current record and it's sad that someone can top it.

there have been a number of 20 losses teams. oakland i think had 20 losses when they made the tourney in 2008. its been done a couple of times. but this would be the worst team ever, by winning percentage. also 4 teams in swac , including 1 seed southern were ruled ineligible for the ncaa tournament, but were allowed to play out the conference tourney.. both prairie view and texas southern are eligible, so all the ineligible teams were eliminated before the final.

1961! That;s so long ago that is one year before I moved to DC. At that time GW (as was WV) was in the Southern Conference. When they used to play ea. other, they played at the Washington Coliseum (aka Ulne Arena) which is a trivia answer to the question of where was the Beatles first American appearance.
By the way I absolutely love all the info being dispensed on these boards.

gah...i cannot in good conscience root against NC Central...they played pretty well against a number of really good teams...on a neutral site, they could make march a little more fun

Texas Southern ends Prairie Views run, so 20 losses remains the record.

At this point what would need to happen for us to be considered for a 14? Like the minimum needed for that to happen?

cal poly will be in a play-in game. are we going to be a 15? All predicted brackets I've seen has us as a 15, playing Kansas.

At this point what would need to happen for us to be considered for a 14? Like the minimum needed for that to happen? My final list looks like this: 14 Eastern Kentucky 15 NC Central 15 Milwaukee 15 American 15 Wofford 16 Coastal Carolina 16 Weber State 16 Albany 16 Texas Southern 16 Mount St. Mary's 16 Cal Poly We would need the committee to like us more then two more teams that are in front of us. They can also "bump" teams up or down a seed line to help geographically. For instance if they are set on us going to St. Louis then we could be the #14 against #3 Kansas. Kansas could drop a line due to injury.

No. 75 Georgia State is playing No. 105 Louisiana. Either team is going to be seeded ahead of Milwaukee. In light of last night's outcomes, I don't see how the Panthers are anything other than a 15. Meet me in St. Louis, indeed.
