Chuck F asked me if I would be able to cover the first-round game. I'm now PRAYING for a game in St. Louis or Milwaukee so I have a reasonable chance to...

Cal Poly just upset UC Irvine in the Big West tournament. With both the #1 and #2 seed now losing we are pretty much guaranteed to be seeded ahead of the Big West champion.
We seem to be catching a lot of breaks seeding wise!
Here is my updated list in the race for a #14 seed:
#14 Eastern Kentucky #15 North Carolina Central #15 Milwaukee #15 American #15 Wofford #16 Stony Brook #16 Long Beach State #16 Weber State #16 Coastal Carolina #16 Texas Southern #16 Mount St. Mary's
Utah Valley was also upset but that may be a bad thing as the new favorite, New Mexico State, would be seeded ahead of us. Lets hope they get upset tonight. If anyone but NMSU wins the WAC's auto-bid you can slide us up a slot in seeding so we would be right on the cusp of the #14's.
It is also a close race between us and American. They have the edge in RPI, while we have better wins and the edge in SOS.

I know this isn't quite the best place for this remark, but things are lining up quite well so far for Green Bay.

NC State beating Cuse didn't help either.

true, though it *did* increase UVA's chances of sneaking into that last 1 seed

I sure hope Alec Brown gets a shot in the spotlight. He deserves it after all the crap I've yelled at him for the last 4 years.

wisconsin has a better chance than virginia of getting the final 1 seed. first they beat them head to head, second they have one of the toughest schedules in the country, and 3 then just beat the crap out of minnesota.

Meanwhile New Mexico State trails CSU Bakersfield by 9 at the half 35-26! Let's hope that holds!
Also I don't see Virginia getting a #1 without a bunch of losses around them Wisconsin or Michigan will probably get it if one of them wins the Big Ten Tournament.
Green Bay still needs Virginia to win the ACC Tournament though.

Northridge is up on Long Beach st by 12. which would be another team weaker than us in rpi.

NMSU came back and won so we'll need Idaho to beat them tomorrow.

I think we would've been seeded ahead of Stony Brook anyway but they just got upset by Albany who is a guaranteed #16 seed.

so we move up a line then, i think. we're right on the cusp of a 14 seed in my opinion.
